Running game obviously improved. More physical play. Russell is a gamer. Front 7 in defense looks good.

OL inconsistent. Game moving fast for Russell - holding the ball a smidge too long and not seeing the field. Secondary seems very suspect.

RCW drops and unforced penalties.

The deepest and most experienced unit on our team seems suspect because they had one bust. Get the frick out with that shite.

Good: run game, raw talent, defense was pretty good
Bad: lack of focus, play calling
Ugly: drops, under-prepared, ref horrible holding call

Well, we are favored to lose to Georgia and LSU. We'll drop one more and it will be one we shouldn't drop. But I'll happily take 9-3 if that means we get way better next season.

If we lose to uga, LSU and one other...we aren't getting in sec championship or playoffs. Just my opinion

We’re going to be turning over probably the entire defense in 2027. I think this probably needs to be the year for DeBoer to actually make a real challenge for a title.

We had nearly all backups in middle of 3rd quarter and couldn’t tell a difference. I wouldn’t think all 22 would leave for the draft

Deboer probably achieves somewhere in the range of Mark Richt level success at Bama. They are similar in many ways.

good, no injuries, ECU defense gave our offense good practice. They were 24 yr olds on their DL. Running game will be fine this year unless my ugly becomes really ugly.

bad, RCW drops. Need him on the field , so i will take the good with the bad

ugly, Grubbs , its like he is auditioning for his next gig. Using our team as guinea pigs. Dont like him, because I cant trust him. He is going to put our young QB in bad situations, he did it with TY and he was like a coach on the field last year

A luckier Mark Richt with a handful of better bounces or more chaos around the nation in years they were contenders may actually have a national title. He did win the conference 2 times. He was CJ Mosley’s finger tips away from national title in 2012.

If DeBoer gave us around 15 years of mostly high level ball and a couple SEC titles then we ought to be pleased that the news of Alabama’s demise after Saban never materialized.

Good:

No injuries. Run game looks improved. Hill finally running like he weighs 230. EJ as good as advertised. Trae'shawn is a nice change of pace. Need more runs to the outside when EJ is 100% and Dear is back.

Russell will be special with more experience. He tried to force a few, that will cost us against SEC secondaries. He has to slide or get out of bounds more. As mentioned earlier, needs more touch on short passes. A couple of misses were simply due to him firing bullets when they weren't needed.

OL looks better but needs more consistency. TEs need to be more involved in the passing game

Meadows is going to be a problem.

Defense can be elite. They are very physical which is a great improvement. Take away the one busted coverage and Im not sure they have over 100 yds and I don't think they converted a 3rd down.

Bad:

Agree that the play calling needs to be more consistent and taking into mind the flow of the game.

RCW - DAMN son stop letting the ball hit your body!!!!!! Catch it with your fricking hands. Insanely frustrating but as someome mentioned you have to take the good with the bad because when he does haul it in he makes special shite happen.

Still way too sloppy just getting lined up and getting the plays in. Wasted several time outs just getting people in the right place and a play called. That's pee wee level shite. It goes back to Saban's last few years and makes me want to throw shite at the TV. When players are panicked and hurried, that's when they move early and miss simple assignments. THIS IS 100% ON GRUBB AND THE OFFENSIVE STAFF.

I was very curious in the first half why CDM didn't play any more than he did. When he finally did I see why. Dude can't block worth a shite. He's too damn big not to be able to block any better than that.

Trying to be far too cute on playcalling. Like Cig mentioned in the off season. We have a tendancy to default to trick plays in critical down and distance instead of just lining up and busting someone in the mouth. The fumble on the jet sweep just seemed to be bad communication between Kee and RCW and will get cleaned up.

Overall, I give us a B-. We won and no one got hurt. We'll know more next week going on the road against an SEC opponent.

Well no shite. I don’t expect making the playoffs this season. If we do, then great.

i hope the ol gets better. i hope rcw learns how to catch or kr12 learns not to put the ball anywhere near his chest. i hope grubb...smh... i hope kr12 learns how to consistently look at wr's other than rc the chest williams. i hope rico gets more punt return opportunities, rcw will drop the rock at the worst time.

i hope the defense continues on as is with the natural improvements a season brings.

i hope my concerns about this team going to kentucky are false.

Title run? I hope so but I seriously doubt it. I’d give us a 40% chance of making the playoffs. I’m just going to enjoy this season and not expect to lose more than 4 games. I’ll be happier for it. Everyone can expect what they want, I don’t have a problem with it.

I think our biggest issue was RW constantly being a wildcard and procedural penalties on offense.

Outside of that we looked like a team working through kinks and attempting to use this game as a week to grow and gel. We looked great doing so.

I’d agree with that percentage chance. I just don’t think 2027 is going to line up right because we will be replacing the vast majority of the defense.
