We can't hit the portal and have a top five transfer class next year to make a title run.

Title run? I hope so but I seriously doubt it. I’d give us a 40% chance of making the playoffs. I’m just going to enjoy this season and not expect to lose more than 4 games. I’ll be happier for it. Everyone can expect what they want, I don’t have a problem with it.

Absolutely no reason for any real fan to be that down on the team after one game.

This place is so full of trolls and sidewalk fans. Any posters who fall in that category, go buy an Ohio State t-shirt and frick yourself with it.

Title of the thread is the Good, bad, and ugly. Not the Good, good, and good.

People are worried about their team. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. We can't all have the same opinion or it would be boring around here.

Okay let me specific.. LSU is going to kick our arse and Texas would kick our arse.. Even though I honestly don't see us making it to the SEC championship game.. But I can say.. even Auburn is gonna kick our arse ! I watched just about every single game yesterday. Our score didn't reflect a power house school beating up a much lower tier school.. It was more of a good school that played in East Carolinas conference. Hell EC's D-line was in our backfield the whole game. And no I dont want to hear that we had new players. I mean they are highly recruited D1 talent right ? Well they are supposed to be.This shite really worries me... Deboers recruiting ability and style. Is he still stuck in that West coast bs ? Any Bama fan watching that game.. and then watching GA, AU and LSU need to start worrying. All three of those teams would have embarrassed us yesterday. There is definitely not an air of superiority at Bama anymore. Other teams are picking up on this and they are all mostly saying it.. "We're not scared to play Bama" Dam Bama hired the complete wrong staff to take over a dynasty like Saban and Bama. Hate me all you want.. but the proof is on paper and video now

I can say that the Alabama fanbase doesnt need you, doesnt want you, and doesnt like you.

You're a fool. Go buy an Auburn shirt.

Run game looks improved. Hill finally running like he weighs 230. EJ as good as advertised. Trae'shawn is a nice change of pace. Need more runs to the outside when EJ is 100% and Dear is back.

Yeah, this really stood out. Really thought the individual efforts of the RBs was vastly improved. All looked promising or, at the very least, like they have a helpful role to play, and that wasn't something we could say last year. That said, the OL needs to lend them and hand and not leave them having to dodge tacklers the instant they get the ball in their hands.

Also like what I saw from the WRs. RCW and Lottie are stars with the ball in their hands and Meadows flashed.

I guess my bad would be the OL. Credit to them for opening lanes up on a few occasions, but they were missing assignments left and right (or, worse, aren't being taught the right assignments), still are bizarrely confounded by stunting, and got pushed around more than they should have. From a technique standpoint, it seemed like they didn't get off-balance and frick up their center of gravity as often as what we saw last year, but that's just kind of a gut impression - I'd have to watch again to be sure. Maybe everything will gel at some point and they'll turn a corner, but it wasn't an inspiring performance.

Playcalling was kind of meh. I'd really like to see some sign that we know how to adjust when opponents are bringing pressure.

Liked what I saw from Woodson on defense. Loved the return of the NOT.

Ugly was that bullshite holding call. Leave that shite to Michigan games.

Go slap yourself upside the head !! Wake Up !!. Ive been a DIE HARD Bama fan since I was 3 yrs old and I'm 59 now. You are just willingly blind as a bat. Bama fans have a right to be worried !! Like I said.. if you watched TX, AU, LSU and GA play yesterday you SHOULD feel plenty worried!! Stop being a sunshine pumper.. This is ridiculous !! Bottom line here is Deboer and staff. They're not a good fit and never was !!

If people aren't concerned about inconsistency on the OL in game 1 after the prior two seasons of data on this regime, I think they're being willingly dense. I saw some good things from the OL but it was not smooth. It could get there but, again, you can't just expect that given how the OL has looked the last two seasons.

If people aren't concerned that Russell is going to get beat to hell and become ineffective or sidelined before the end of season, I don't know what game they were watching because it wasn't Alabama v. ECU. He took way too much contact for an extra couple of yards. SEC defenders will break him doing that.

Dude, why don’t you just change your posting name to “Debbie Downer” or “Eeyore”? At least that would reflect your attitude.

As a supposed football guy.. how in the hell do you get out of what Im saying as.. I'm just an Aubie?? That's some crazy azz reading comprehension !! Did you read the part where I said TX, GA, LSU and Auburn would have embarrassed us yesterday. Thank god it wasn't an opener against a team like even FSU last year. FSU would have embarrassed us too.. maybe even worse than last time. And for rhe record ! I hate Auburn just like any self respecting Bama fan would !! I will say it again !! BOTTOM LINE : The entire staff including Deboer does not fit Bama !! And with a proud heart I will say RMFT till the day I die

I watched Auburn game play against a much greater opponent and they looked good and won. What do you think would have happened if Bama played a good quality opponent like last year against FSU.. hell even Baylor like Auburn did. We would have gotten embarrassed. No OL, mid secondary, mid to low running game.. Russell was the leading rusher just like Milroe always was. Sub-par coaching and motivation. Things that are not easily changed except with new players and personnel. Those changes only come with a new head coach and staff !

RA'd for alter. Get this idiot out of here. DJ Lagway is one of the worst power 4 QBs I've ever seen and is the only reason Auburn didn't lose by 2 scores.
