i[m thinking that the uga team from last night wont be the same team that faces bama. i expect beck to throw for 300 against this inexperienced secondary, sans moore and jackson. bama can well win this game if milroe has a great game throwing the ball. i fully expect the uga defense to keep milroe from beating them with his legs.

having said that, there is a reason i'm not a coach or wealthy prognosticator.

Beck is a dead man with our Dline, Overton will devour him

It's hard to absolutely show that but I think CKD has clearly shown he's a very clever coach and IMO, is as good an offensive mind as there is in the game today.

While I'm sure UGA will have some new wrinkles in their offense, likewise, I feel Bama will have some new wrinkles also. As long as Milroe doesn't do something stupid, I like Bama's chances.

Georgia looked like they had some trouble stopping the QB run. Obviously they will focus on that with Milroe. This is the game where he can't just "out athlete" the opponent. Take care of the football...let's surprise them with some quick slants.

This where we find out if we're a legitimate NC contender or just a good, playoff caliber team.

Georgia gained 262 yards of total offense against Kentucky yesterday.

They don't have the skill players they used to.

They also lost one of their best offensive linemen to injury. Tate Ratledge.

Don’t get me wrong. Love the positivity of this board. And yes I think the atmosphere will be a huge advantage for Bama. Sucks now have to wait 2 weeks for the game. Guess will have to spend that time laughing at LSU

IDGAF if they come in with a million dollars worth of chips on their shoulder. UGA is taking that L in 2 weeks.
Beck looked like a temu McElroy against UK.
Their backs aren't great.
Their receivers are... where are their receivers?
Their strength is their secondary.
Expect them to make some plays.

Let's not forget that Kirby is still the guy that put not one, but two spies on Milroe in ATL.

BAMA is going to score 35+.
UGA will score in trash time.

I got it

BAMA 41
UGA 13

Sometimes fans are to close to be objective. I do think our defense is getting better and even close to real good. I like our chances.

What leads you to this conclusion? Not saying you are wrong but what anecdotal evidence can you present to back up such a claim?

I haven't seen enough from either party to make a determination regarding their relative intelligence, but I have seen Kirby make several ill-advised decisions that even a retard like Coach O would probably avoid. Like when he went for a fake punt on 4th and 11 in his own territory in a tie game with less than 3 minutes left or assigning two spies to Milroe. Seems like Kirby has also been great at getting blown out once or twice a season (or every other season) despite having a roster overflowing with five stars.

I wanted Georgia at #1 coming in to BDS.

I know it was a close win, but it was on the road in the SEC. Texas played a nobody and Michigan is nothing like last year's team. I wouldn't have voted them over Georgia.

And Texas has another nobody next weekend.

It’s going to be a hard game for both teams. I don’t know how much I buy them
Looking ahead last night but I think it’s plausible that they weren’t nearly as locked in mentally as they will be in two weeks. But I know our guys will be locked in too and I think we will unveil some things we haven’t shown yet.

If I was Kirby I'd blitz Milroe not spy him.

Also think Bama's oline is better than GA's dline and our dline is better than their oline. Our weakness seems to be our young corners. Don't know if Ga has receivers to take advantage of that weakness though.

In the back of my head this is like Texas last year or the Freeze Ole Miss games. Early season test that shows where your strengths/weaknesses are and win or lose gives you a blue print to work on moving forward.

The 2015 Ole Miss game at Bryant Denny was a combination of self-inflicted wounds, not starting Coker, and freak luck that Kirby doesn’t have. The Texas game last year was Milroe being green and the defense getting torched by Worthy. This game does not feel like either of those. Jalen Milroe is the type of QB that gives Smart’s defense fits. Think of Cam Newton, Nick Marshall, Cardale Jones, Manziel, and Chad Kelly. Aside from Newton, none of them were known for being elite passers. They could run around all day because Kirby’s defense is always based on getting home with 3-4 guys.

The law of averages is catching up to them, the pressure from their winning streak is becoming too much.

You’re reading too much into it, like overzealous fans tend to do. No one gives a shite about regular season winning streaks. They aren’t even the defending SEC or national champions and are only four games removed from their last loss.

Our staff is probably preparing for Kirby to test our pass protection. Hopefully the execution is there and they cook UGA's blitz early. UGA will have to back off blitzing if the OL proves they can cope with it and the receivers make some plays. Big test upcoming for our new look WR corp and still gelling OL.
