I think it is a stretch to say Sark is easily better than Lane. The things he did with Blake Sims, Jake Coker and Jalen Hurts are pretty exceptional.

He’s easily better than Kiffin. Our offense was far more efficient the last two years than any time Kiffin was here. And the QBs improvement was better as well.

Sark had better QBs and WRs and was working with a better system partly put in place by Kiffin.

Kiffin was charged with basically putting in a new modern offensive system with the old pieces.

He went to 3 playoffs, made it to two Natty's kind of and won 1. He did all this we 3 different QBs, 1 of which was a converted running, won a Natty with a grad transfer who couldn't beat out said running back, and got a first year talented freshman who couldn't get past his second read to the Natty. Through all that he set various Bama records with all of them. 2 were not NFL QBs and the other most doubted.

Sark had the greatest QB in Bama history in his third year at Bama and an underrated QB in his 4th year at Bama. One was always a first round pick and the other is going to be. Sark had the benefit of Kiffin, Daboll and Locksley building out Bama's playbook. Tua's production is marginally better from Locksley in 2018 to Sark in 2019. Kiffin with Tua, Mac and all those WRs would have done exceptionally well.

Sark was asked to prepare a gourmet meal by the end of the day and was given all the best ingredients, recipes and sous chefs in the world. Kiffin was asked to prepare a gourmet meal by the end of the day and was handed a very well run farm. Kiffin did a hell of a job.

I hope Sark & Co. succeed some in disrupting A&M's, LSU,'s & OSU's recruiting in Texas. And, I hope we stomp Texas in 2022 & 23. Otherwise, I'm really not very interested in the Longhorns.

Don't wish Sark any ill will as I appreciate what he did for us.

Don't care about Texas they are irrelevant and not sure what kind of head coach Sark will be....Will get more interested when 2022 rolls around.

Yeah, I like Sark and wish him well. I do expect Texas to improve with Sark at the helm. He's a bright guy and he's hired a really good staff.

2 or 3 years doesn’t buy that kind of loyalty.

He is easily the best OC Bama has had.

I hope he fails. I don’t want anyone taking away what Saban has built. Plus it’s Texas.

Any of the coaches that put in the work to make the team and program excel and win a championship in the process are part of the club, IMO. Sark turned down several HC positions last year to come back and coach this offense. I think it goes without saying that the offense isn’t as efficient or successful last season without Sark at the helm, regardless of talent. They would have been good based on talent alone, but with the situations surrounding the season, I’d say that continuity was worth quite a bit. Let’s not forget Saban handed him the reigns when he tested positive for COVID and missed the Iron Bowl. Who else on the staff could have carried the team through that week with the same level of confidence and composure? To each his own, but the players loved him and Saban thought very highly of him, I absolutely think Sark is part of that family.

Excluding all that, Sark could be the most successful coach to ever walk the sideline at UT and it wouldn’t affect Saban’s legacy in the slightest. He’s the best and nothing Sark does moving forward will change that. Saban has said on multiple occasions that he likes to see his assistants move on and be successful, so if he’s happy for the guy, I’m not holding it against him either.

as for the staff raiding? you cant raid a staff that doesnt want to be raided. if assistants did not want to leave, they wouldn't, simple as that.

sark was the best most consistent oc bama has had, sans clemson loss. that lone game proved to be an outlier, thankfully.

i wish sark all the best at texas! beat oklahoma every year, tired of them. maybe it's time texas started living up to their bravado. show uga how its actually done.

I hate Texas, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

I don't care if I have a son that goes to one of them I can't root for them. Their fans are terrible, their arrogance is terrible and their university's are terrible.

I don't even hate Auburn. For me they're like an odd stepbro.

I don't, Longhorns fans are the most insufferable in CFB when they're winning which is why their downfall since 1/7/2010 has been so satisfying. I do hope Sark stays on the wagon though.

Sarkisian was on the analyst staff that year. He had less than a week to gameplan for that game. I still think letting Kiffin go that soon before a title game was one of Saban's few mistakes at Alabama. Kiffin had done a great job working around freshman Jalen Hurts game that year. I think Kiffin would have been worth at least 3 points. Even a couple more first downs among those 3 and out series might have sealed the game.

Anyway, the point is that I don't think it's reasonable for us to blame Sarkisian for that loss.

He has succeeded. He's filthy rich, and is the head coach of yet another blue blood program thanks to CNS giving him a chance to prove himself.

CNS is on record saying he loves helping these guys succeed, but wishes they would assemble their own staff once they leave instead of raiding his staff.

Sark and Texas decided to take as many coaches as they possbily could from Saban. (even tried to take Pete. Pete Golding ! SMH)

I hope Sark fairs well in life, but I hope his football teams at texas are awful, and all those coaches that left with him see a dramatic decrease in their stock on the coaching market.

I would pull for Texas over Georgia though. I hope Georgia never wins another football game ever.

Lemme just say this, Sark could raid the cupboard all he wants but as long as the boosters are running the show, Texas will still be Texas... They peaked at Vince Young and will never have that kind of success again... Too many hands meddling from people who THINK they know wtf they're talking about... Sark will have success but until their boosters get out of the way, then they will be the perpetual has-beens...

That's a tough one. I like Sark and what he did for Alabama football. On the other hand, I hate Texas, I hate their fans and I hate their shitty woke city. I wish Sark had gone some place like.....South Alabama!
