The best was Bryce IMO.

My favorite is Mac.

I guess I'd forget about Avalos and/or Guilllon.

Hurts will always be my favorite mostly because he stuck around and came in to win us an SEC Championship when Tua got hurt.

Best: BY

All that being said, I want sooo much for Tua to win in the NFL right now, more than JH, BY, or Mac.

Shula’s last few QBs included Avalos, Guilllon, and Pennington. Along with a scholarship shaved roster AND having to get recruits that weren’t the best role models (cause no one else wanted them), I almost feel bad for the guy.

Best: pre-injury Tua (close over healthy Bryce)
Favorite: Mac (waited and ran the most balanced offense in CFB history)
Forget: Bateman

What could’ve been: Milroe and Hurts more time to sit and develop until they were ready. If Barnett hadn’t busted Hurts could’ve focused on developing his downfield passing. Same goes for the post BY years and we brought in Buchner instead of a game ready guy resulting in the Jalen Milroe experience.

Both of those guys should’ve been long term developmental guys and instead we leaned on them too soon with championship rosters so I kind of blame the coaching staffs at the time for what happened frankly.

AJ will always be my favorite. He was an absolute leader.

As far as talent goes, give me Tua, Mac, and Bryce.

How was Coker “overrated”? He qb’d Alabama to a national title and the single game he didn’t start, Alabama lost. He was never considered a major talent.

I mean overrated by the fans. Coker doesn’t get the same treatment as even Greg McElroy where the fans treat it as a carry job. A lot of fans rank him pretty high in the “Saban era QB rankings”. He was basically McElroy with a bigger arm and worse pocket awareness but he’s regularly ranked well above him.

Don’t believe he was overrated by the fans, but maybe misremembering. Anyways he made some clutch plays in the Texas A&M, Auburn, and Clemson games and nearly brought us back against Ole Miss. He had Derrick Henry which was a cheat code.

He did have some good moments. I appreciate him for what he did and being a steady enough hand.

I just think like…if he’d have been the qb for this year team we’d have probably won 7-8 games. He got to QB an incredible defense and Henry to the natty.

1. Bryce Young
2. Tua Tagovailoa
3. Mac Jones
4. AJ McCarron
5. Jalen Hurts
6. Ty Simpson
7. Greg McElroy
8. Brodie Croyle
9. Blake Sims
10. Jacob Coker
11. John Parker Wilson
12. Andrew Zow
13. Tyler Watts
14. Jalen Milroe
15. Spencer Pennington
16. Cooper Bateman
17. Blake Barnett
18. Marc Guillon
19. Tyler Buchner
20. Brandon Avalos

Who was the best? Bryce was a Heisman winner and I think he was probably the best individual playmaker we've had at QB.

Who was your favorite? I really enjoyed the Blake Sims story as it developed during the season. I was happy for him even though we fell short of the national title.

Who did you forget about? I remember Avalos because he authored arguably the worst game by an Alabama QB in my lifetime but forgot that Marc Guillon started a game.

AJ

Back to Back and should have been 3 in a row

Tua.

For that brief moment when he was completely healthy.. he was the best QB I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a bunch

Hurts: Not because of his skill.. but because he’s the consummate team player

Finally:

Mac! He overachieved and he is goofy.. but man what a season he had

Croyle would have been a Heisman NYC invite if he had an Nick Saban-level O-line.

Most Talent: Tua or Bryce Young

Most Fun: Mac Jones

Most Underrated: Brodie Croyle (due to injuries and poor OL)
