Michigan doesn't have to replicate Bama's gameplan to beat Georgia.

I'm interested to see if we get Leary and JoJo Earle involved more with Metchie out. They're explosive athletes, albeit inexperienced. Williams is the home run threat but we need to find some answers quick.
Absolutely. The 4 weeks came at the best time possible, and we have a roster of talented young WRs in the perfect position to get a month long graduate course after a season of learning.

Stetson Bennett's scrambling ability comes into play in all this. No, he isn't exactly Matthew Stafford throwing the ball but he's sneaky athletic and can pick up first downs.

Honestly that is one of the main reasons I don't get the JT Daniels stuff. Look, if Daniels goes out and throws it around like Peyton Manning then sure not as much need for the scrambling. But his history says he'll make some great throws then throw some interceptable balls, too. And on top of that you don't get any of the stuff Bennett is actually really good at - avoiding the rush and picking up 3rd and 8s with his legs. He extended 2-3 drives with that on Saturday.
I just don't see that huge a positive trade off, but what do I know.

And, I noted this somewhere else, as someone who was in attendance in the Upper Deck in both 2020 and 2021, there was a flaring difference in one aspect in the 2 games - UGA had dudes open all over the place in 2020. UGA did not have guys running around open in 2021. Almost all of Bennett's completions we're good throws to semi or covered guys, and there were the only options. They did not have WRs and RBs like Cook just running free in the secondary like they did last year.

The question behind all of this is can Alabama's offensive line play like they did on Saturday going forward ? They balled out and kept Bryce clean. Will they be able to open up running lanes in a late game situation to ice it away ? We nearly let Georgia back into it by not salting it away. Granted the health of B Rob and Sanders had something to do with that.

Georgia's secondary is also not as good as last year. Their front seven is awesome but they lost some serious talent from the secondary. Eric Stokes, Richard LeCount, Tyson Campbell. Also not having Adam Anderson rushing the passer was a factor on Saturday.

And it was a huge concern in the preseason. Then they got the kid from WVU, but he is out for the year. And then it just sort of faded from discussion because they truly played absolutely zero full field passing teams. The only one close was Tennessee but their passing offense is very specific.

I think many people have come out of the SEC Championship game with a skewed perspective on UGA's offense. Bennett threw 2 absolutely back-breaking picks , one of which led directly to 7 points for us, and Kirby made some bad decisions on when to kick and when to go. Otherwise they still rolled up 450 yards and 30 first downs while maintaining almost 35 minutes of TOP. And Brock Bowers was pretty dominant. We didn't shut their offense down. We simply kept it between the 20's. Pretty similar to what Clemson did to us a few years ago.
Don’t get me wrong Georgia’s offense is super efficiently and their skill position guys are very good. For much of the game, they performed well enough to win Saturday
But let’s say Jordan Battle doesn’t drop that early pick-6 and Bama is the team that went up 10-0 early. Their response would come in the form of an incremental drive or not at all as they do not have a great equalizer like Jameson Williams to completely flip the game. Michigan’s Crum is the biggest game breaker on either team. We’ll see if they can’t get UGA out of their comfort zone

Amen. I just don't see JTD's skillset being much more effective against our D than Stetson's.

Tennessee used tempo against them but I think that they went too fast at times and outsmarted themselves. Plus UT doesn't have a full roster. It was a mismatch.

Yea, but to be fair to Tennessee that's just how they play. It's like saying Oats needs to tone down our basketball tempo - it's our identity, it's what we do.
Georgia's secondary was young and inexperienced and playing an entire season without being challenged at all was not helpful for them.

I'd rather play Michigan for the novelty. Aside from that, whatever.
That's how I feel. It would be nice to play a team we don't play almost every year.
But, UGA will beat Michigan.

We better win it this year…. LSU has hired a S&C, a guy to tell them what protein bars to eat and Frank Wilson (good bag man) and they aren’t ever going to lose again
Crazy bunch for sure

Prefer Georgia because it will provide a years worth of trolling LSU fans.

I want to play UGA but for a different reason. I want Harible and UMich to lose to UGA so we have the chance to pick up two games on them in total # of wins. And it would not hurt for the SEC (UGA) to club them in prime time.
The the bonus, UGA takes U Mich out of the recruiting limelight then we get the opportunity to take UGA down again and poke another hole in their recruiting façade.

We want to be in the finals. Don’t care which other team is there.

Unless JT is still injured I don’t think Stetson sees the field against Bama
