Well, if there were ever a defense to have Cotton start against, this is it.

Won't be a big deal vs OU, but would be massive vs Clemson

They're selfish and entitled.

They're young and they make mistakes. I think most of us probably had an air of invincibility at some point in our lives. Maybe not on this large of a scale, but it happens.

True. But you would think being on this big of a stage they’d have a little more common sense

Decatur isn't that small. Largest city of its county, and larger than most of the cities of neighboring counties. Huntsville is bigger, but it's one of the biggest cities in the state.

When I lived in Bham, I found it was pretty small and I am very familiar with Decatur, H'ville, Athens, Gadsden, Cullman and the other cities of Al. When you have kids who have some fame, it gets even smaller... not that you are not correct in your claims. Relatively speaking if there is trouble in River City, it will find you and you need to stay away from Pool

Yep, timing makes a failed drug test very likely.
Here is the next kicker. Assuming it was a NCAA test like Clemson, they are gone for a while. I am shooting from memory, but iirc recreational drugs are 6 games (Tony Brown) and PEDs are 1 year (Will Grier).

No.
They were selfish. They put what they wanted for themselves at that moment ahead of the team's interests. Did they make a mistake? Yeah. Are they young? Of course. But they didn't do it because they were young; otherwise, all of them would be screwing up. They did it because they wanted to do what they wanted to do, and that was more important to them than team. Period.

CrimsonBoz any info if this was a School Test or an NCAA test?
Any news around the team as to the time of these suspensions?
Asking for a friend, I will hang up and listen

Yeah... Alabama as a whole is filled with small towns and small cities. I grew up in Florida and my "small town" as we called it back then had 150k+ with a city 3 miles away of well over 300k+.
54k is a small town and has all the issues of the stereotypical small town of 1-10k that you would normally picture.
