With any other QB not named Hurts from the last 17 years, we finish the season with 1 loss at the absolute worst. BUT... the fact that he wasn't willing to bench Milroe is concerning. I get it, Ty may very well suck also but he couldn't have been worse than Milroe.

If this wasn’t a last hurrah for Milroe and Milroe returns next year, Deboer might as well start considering a move for 2026. I don’t think Byrne will allow this another year. First season since 2007 without 10 wins and the worst QB performance since Spencer Pennington, but at least Pennington could see the field. Also, it’s obvious that Sheridan was a last-second friendship hire.

You need to stay in your own lane. Mr. “My program has had four consecutive losing seasons.”

Given the talent, it is literally the worst coaching job in Alabama football history.

I do not know if our talent level is quite what is suggested.

Our QB is bad and none of the depth could challenge the bad incumbent QB.

Our best skill players are a 17yo and WR3 from DeBoer’s Washington team.

The only OL who had a good year was DeBoer’s center from Washington.

We’re thin on good edge players on the line and production nose dived after our best veteran edge rusher got hurt.

Some of our best guys in the secondary are freshmen.

Really don’t have a difference maker at DT but I do like Keenan as a NT.

Not saying CKD’s coaching seat is hot but it’s definitely warm. A repeat of this season or worse, he’ll be fired. Period.

$60MM buyout says hello. Coaches have seen the Jimbo buyout, they honestly don't care.

He willingly put himself on the hot seat. I won’t have a problem if he gets canned next year with back to back mediocre seasons. He put one player above the program and the mental errors did not improve from last year at all. If the players aren’t getting better then he isn’t doing a good job, plain and simple.

I at least understand not pulling Milroe in this bowl game. What's the point of risking potential injury to a QB you may need next year?

Also, who's to say the other QBs were even willing to take that risk? One or more of them may be looking to transfer.

I completely agreed with that decision, it’s a bowl game, go for it. The problem was he continued to not understand he’s playing a QB with the mind of a 7th grader.

That sack was not on Deboer. I have full confidence we’ll be legit next year without Milroe

I agree, I had no problem with either fourth down attempts. Both plays failed because of Milroe.

On the first drive, he locks onto his primary receiver the whole play, holds onto the ball for too long, drifts further back into the pocket instead of stepping up, and gets sacked. That's not on the OL. Drifting back in the pocket gives those edge rushers an easy sack. It's a mistake he makes consistently.

The 4th and 7 that we went for, there was a CLEAR lane to run off the left side. Instead, Milroe throws an extremely low percentage corner route and leads Mbakwe out of bounds.

Just to add fuel to that CF of a performance, the interception he threw was the EXACT same mistake he made on the pick six vs Oklahoma.

He just went 9-4 at Alabama and broke a 16 year streak of winning 10 games. He lost to three awful teams. Given the talent, it is literally the worst coaching job in Alabama football history. His team was completely unprepared to play three games this year.

Back off the ledge, I mean seriously.

He runs a completely different program, completely different scheme. He needs time to implement it.

He will be fine. Worst coaching in Alabama history is unbelievable hyperbole and overreaction.

Give him a pocket passer who can read like Penix, who he fricking developed by the way, and this team is potentially undefeated and in the playoffs.

The only thing I hold against him, and strongly I will add, is sticking with Milroe. And I think he did that out of loyalty to the player and knowing Milroe’s highs are indeed Heisman level. The bad side of that is his lows are JV level HS bad.

Nut jobs that call for Deboers head after one year are the reason Alabama fans have a bad name.

Also, who’s to say our “talent” isn’t actually as good as it’s hyped up to be. I didn’t see one standout defender this year and those were Saban guys. Proctor was a Saban recruit and he’s not lived up to it. Haynes and Jam weren’t anything special, neither were Law or Prentice.

Bernard and Williams were good receivers, and Deboer gets the credit there imo because he kept them when Saban retired

Defensively we played OK but offensively we were a joke. Sheridan has to go.

Why should that matter? Why does one players ego trump the result?

Maybe DeBoer is loyal to a fault. Maybe because he knows, without Jalen staying and helping hold things together, that it could have wound up being a COMPLETE rebuilding year and a lot more losses than wins. But that being said, he can't let him come back as the starting qb if he decided to stay.

This team is likely undefeated with Bryce Young at QB.

Both losses were to high quality teams on the road on the last play of the game. We lost to three terrible teams this year.
