Going to Ole Miss does not bother me. MS kids I learned a long time ago not to get excited about until they sign

Not terribly surprised Barney de-committed from Bama. I used to live in Carrollton. It's literally ten minutes drive from the Alabama-Georgia state line and there are quite a few Bama fans/alums living there. However, there is enormous pressure for Carrollton kids to stay in state and NOT go to Bama (or at least there was when I lived there 8 years ago).
That's why I was shocked with Caleb Odom signing with Bama. Carrollton is a perennial powerhouse in Georgia HS football and other than Odom, I bet it's been 40-50 years since a kid from there signed with Bama.

He hasn’t flipped yet. This one is just going to go to February.
Nah he's gone.
I can't believe that we have the #1 QB in the class, an offensive wizard as head coach, we have a true freshman WR who's already a national celebrity, and we can't get any elite WRs to commit?
These kids are fricking stupid. That's all you can really say

His rating might not reflect it, but Lotzeir Brooks looks elite.
Hopefully there's enough time left to keep Cunningham or get one more to flip.

Wish there was more time with Dakorien Moore, he watched Bama stomp LSU in person Saturday.
He's got a pretty good deal to go to Oregon though.

What’s the deal? You know?

2027 QB Elijah Haven LSU could be even tougher to beat now that the Tigers offered one day before the 2027 five-star quarterback visited Alabama but his trip to Tuscaloosa went really well. The family noticed some “subtle differences that were intriguing” with how the Crimson Tide coaching staff handled some things and they briefly talked with position coach Nick Sheridan. Auburn, Florida and others are in the mix but this feels very much like LSU is out front for the Baton Rouge (La.) Dunham standout and Alabama has intrigued after the weekend trip.
This player was discussed earlier in this thread. Took a visit to Michigan this past weekend. 2027 is a long way off and who knows what LsU or Alabama look like by then but just saw him and his dad post a pic of them in the sidelines for the Michigan game. Terrific athlete but plays at a private high school Dunham. Have t seen him play since he was a little kid but was Id assume wherever he ends up he will need some time to adjust and develop.

This is what I say. I don't know about him being gone for sure part but about not understanding how wide receivers are not lining up to play with Keelon Russell and with DeBoer after seeing what he did with his 3 wide receivers last year at Washington. These guys just see the money now and can't see into the future of how much more money they would get in the NFL if higher drafted players.
I think DeBeor might have to hit the portal after the season for a wideout as the only difference maker on the roster, in my opinion, will be Ryan Williams.

You’re forgetting about Jalen Hale! He may have been the most consistent option this year if he hadn’t been hurt so badly

I'm not concerned about losing Cunningham specifically. But the fact the if/when he flips that leaves us with only one receiver in this class. I'm not gonna lose sleep over a kid who plays in 3A Mississippi ball no matter how many stars he has. I don't see how we're having trouble attracting star receivers with Russell committed and Shepherd and CKD coaching.

DeBoer likes being formation multiple and use 2 TE personnel when advantageous but I'd agree that he'd love to get more production from 3 WR personnel than capable with this WR group. We've got a 1WR who is a 17yo true freshman with all the inconsistencies that entails. Our 2WR is solid but probably not the kind of 2WR a great SEC passing offense trots out there. After that, it is really a bunch of guys who have not made a big impact when on the field.
I got disliked in the preseason for saying that WR was a sore spot because Prentice is just a guy and KLaw + Henderson are completely unproven at this level. I get the feeling that Law would've still had a role but Prentice would probably be purely a depth guy if Cole Adams wasn't such an injury plagued player. You could see flashes in his limited availability that he was potentially a very solid albeit not explosive slot receiver.
Frankly, I think we should be trying legally - and if not legally then whatever will not get caught in TYOL2024 - to recruit Aaron Anderson back to Alabama. He's really the 3rd option primarily in the slot that we're missing. Can catch and run underneath but he has the pure speed to be a problem for vertical routes from the interior. If we're only thinking 2025, I'd rather have Hollywood, Bernard, and Anderson than those two with Cunningham.

I’d rather just play Ryan in the slot. Law is going to get snaps for his blocking and I love Hale.
