So, RJ Luis Jr. signed with LSU.

I genuinely want Wade to sign an entire roster of former pros just to see what Sankey says at this point.

and won't even seek Saban's input for anything related to the program

How do you know this?

Plus he thinks Grubb is the answer at OC.

Saban did as well. He tried to hire him. Twice.

Deboer will never take Bama to championship levels.

Playing in the SEC championship game and playoffs in year 2 isn't a championship level?

Especially now that he has gutted the program from anything Saban left behind

There are literally still assistant, and strength/conditioning coaches on staff that were employed by Saban along with still having the team go through the 4th quarter program.

Samuels profile is he’s a bit of a black hole on offense sometimes too.

So, you're saying he can fill the Shackelford role?
Perfect lol
quote:

I’d love for him to be back but I really hope that’s not the case. I don’t see how an Oats system works with just one guard, who’s not naturally a PG, bringing the ball up for us all year. Think about all our prior teams. Every team had multiple veteran guards we could plug and play.

Barring another PG transfer, the roster construction seems more similar to the 20-21 team.

The PGs were basically Herb and JQ with the team having a 30 ORTG, but 3 DRTG that season. I think they can surpass that duo offensively, but you're still banking on production from Samuels and Bouie.

Still think Reid is a bit of a charlatan. He looks the part and against air he can be pretty impressive, but something is just missing with his game. In the middle of SEC play the year that Reid was here, I was trying to figure out what his game actually was.

I still see a taller RJ Barrett when I look at Reid(I like both players).

Overrated prep prospects who matured physically before their peers, but have robotic/stiff athleticism which mostly leads to bully ball.

I truly think that if we could have stuck with Bediako off the bench and our 2nd leading scorer didn't get caught smokin da weeduh then we'd probably played ourselves up to the 3 line and gotten to a regional final with a puncher's chance.

Neither of these things prevented Bama getting a 3 seed, tho. Shitting the bed against UGA and Ole Miss was the issue.

Oats has been able to generally get production out of his backcourt and Hannah leaving actually makes me feel even better about the incoming freshmen + Cloer.
Jasper Johnson's team may be requesting excessive NIL but that's a parody account lol
quote:

How did he do against Arizona, Purdue, Gonzaga, Florida, Michigan?

Near season averages, so solid: 11.2 pts/4.8reb/2.4blk(I forgot he had 8 blocks against Arizona!)/2.2ast

I was looking forward to the leap he'd take next year, but I think moving back to a more athletic, rim running 5 could help overall.
That's a lot of assumptions and projection based on a divorce that wasn't even publicly confirmed until last week.

Weird, but go off.
I think the idea of TBB is great, but I'm not sure if he's capable of actually reaching the idea.

He's underweight, lacks an understanding of boxing out/attacking rebounds, lacks physicality, hasn't shown the ability to attack closeouts on slower 4/5s, and hasn't consistently shown effort when he's played.

Not sure corner threes and occasional weak side shot blocking make up for that.
The NIL was a non starter. What we really could've used was a healthy TBB and Bristow.
quote:

Whole lot of ink over a BB player. I missed the part of his parent's comments about their son's situation.

What's the appropriate amount of ink?

And let us know what comments his parents should have added.
It'll be interesting to see what paraphernalia they found because that doesn't sound that bad. His lawyer is going to be able to justify the money found in his jacket considering his NIL income.
quote:

Well damn. I retract my statements on it being a misdemeanor. From what I could find just based on weight it was a misdemeanor so I wonder if there’s more to it

It's the weight plus paraphernalia so I'm assuming he had baggies/a scale.
Yep, and that's the worst possible matchup with a 1

The Duke game felt less about interior post threats and more about length bothering small guards who couldn't create off the bounce.

I think that's why Philon was the only one who was able to create consistently (Sears struggled a lot with this which resulted in paint touches with nowhere to go; Biz was much less decisive when driving and probed more last year).
Small sample size but only one high school recruit from DeBoer's first class transferred out.

I think the next year will give us a better idea of if our current roster building strategy is still viable.
I think Pierre and ZB start the season as 1A/1B

If the kid doesnt look like a usual d lineman guy we take it is what it is.

What does that even mean?

The team got a depth/developmental piece from one of the state's best high school programs who wanted to be at Bama.

What is there to be negative about here?

He had no problems catching last year. And he is trying to catch with his body on a lot of the deep balls and his hands have been no where near the ball.

He had the exact same issues last year, but our fans/media didn't focus on it; even one of his highlight plays from the UGA game last year was off a bobble.

He had 7 drops on 87 targets and that's without accounting for him playing inside more due to the OC.

William Sanders should compete for one of the interior oline spots, Beaman returning from injury for NT, and Cayden Jones at ilb.
