re: Tourney projection- 5 in Portland

The Duke game felt less about interior post threats and more about length bothering small guards who couldn't create off the bounce.

I think that's why Philon was the only one who was able to create consistently (Sears struggled a lot with this which resulted in paint touches with nowhere to go; Biz was much less decisive when driving and probed more last year).
Small sample size but only one high school recruit from DeBoer's first class transferred out.

I think the next year will give us a better idea of if our current roster building strategy is still viable.
I think Pierre and ZB start the season as 1A/1B

What does that even mean?

The team got a depth/developmental piece from one of the state's best high school programs who wanted to be at Bama.

What is there to be negative about here?

He had no problems catching last year. And he is trying to catch with his body on a lot of the deep balls and his hands have been no where near the ball.

He had the exact same issues last year, but our fans/media didn't focus on it; even one of his highlight plays from the UGA game last year was off a bobble.

He had 7 drops on 87 targets and that's without accounting for him playing inside more due to the OC.

William Sanders should compete for one of the interior oline spots, Beaman returning from injury for NT, and Cayden Jones at ilb.
Walk in yo trap, take over yo trap!!!
That was the same walk they called on TBB smh

Qayden Samuels - Bama slight edge over Georgetown

Caleb Holt - still not committing until spring. Bama/UK favorites

Ikenna Alozie - considering GCU, Bama, and Houston
It's not fear, his hands are mid. He had the same concentration drops last year outside. It'll improve.

I didn't realize how similar his profile is to TBB coming out of high school.

Coverage being bracketed and shaded towards 5 is creating opportunities for 2

1. Year 2 Philon
2. Sherrell
3. TBB

Ive got a feeling he might be our best player next year and a real force. A little conditioning and some confidence could go a long way with him. He has some Joel Embiid upside to his game.

With his skill set and body type, he reminds me of late career Marc Gasol. Nice touch from outside, solid feel for the screen game, and flashed a little passing skill off of screen actions.

Definitely expect a jump from him and Biz.

I lean the other direction here.

Assuming we have a few players that can get in the paint and make basic reads, I think we still need someone who could eat emergency minutes at the 4/5.

Tried what once? To leave? Davis went back to the jeep and shot it up with Miles right there too.

They left the initial encounter with the jeep/Johnson. Johnson came back with additional guns/criminals.

Yes, I believe they would've continued to follow them away from the strip.

To be clear - I think Johnson, Davis, and Harris all made terrible choices that night but I don't understand why people are still questioning how far an emotional guy who put his child's mother in danger (and got her killed) would go.

This assumes that Johnson and his friends would've stopped hunting/following Davis and Miles.

He didn't leave, go get a stolen car with 3 friends & a shotgun to trail him, and turn off his lights while hitting a u turn to park behind them to let them go.

Scouting notes on Keonte Jones from February

This article has a section on Jones as a potential draft prospect. Could see him starting at the 3 and being used as a secondary playmaker.

So far in the Davis trial, Jamea Harris's cousin testified that Harris passed Cedric Johnson a gun in the car(which Miles said and the investigator claimed could have been food) and they confirmed there was a third shooter(shotgun, likely from the stolen car that was following Miles with Johnson).

It still doesn't make sense how this case has played out and that guy wasn't charged.
