He did make the last throw.
It happened.
So you just look like a whiny bitch right now

College kids love hype. Unless Milroe just completely shits the bed against UGA and in the bowl game he is going into next season with probably the most hype of any player in the country. We may not end up with someone like Evan Stewart from the portal, but it won't be because of anything Milroe has or has not done this season. Plenty of good WRs will want to play with him next season.

He does throw a good deep ball. If we had a Jameson Williams type transfer as a deep threat, he could potentially rack up big numbers.

Do you even Bond, bro? He's gonna crack up numbers with dudes we have.

But we've seen how much of a difference having a bevy of elite speedsters can make. I'm puzzled why we haven't had more production than we've had with our current receivers. Some of them flash, like Kobe Prentice, but the consistency hasn't been what I hoped for. Part of that may be due to our early OL woes hampering the offense. Things have improved over the last half of the season, though.

I had Forgotten all about Prentice actually. He did have some flashes last year

Is there a transfer portal thread that I’m overlooking?

Not here, but there is a pretty big transfer portal thread on BOL.
Requires a subscription though.
The recruiting sites should be compiling a rankings list for all of the guys who enter it, but that may not be published for a couple weeks.

Is usually not about the recievers flashing potential, it's about them developing with the QB. I would say it is clear that Burton, Bond, and Niblack are on the same page with his and have his trust. I think Benson is getting there as well.
That was one of our biggest problems we had against UGA in the NC. Young had developed his game with Metchie, Williams, and to a small part Brooks, but no one else really. When those two went down, Brooks wasn't good enough to carry the team and Young's timing with the other WRs wasn't great. The drops were also a problem, but rhythm with them was never there.

Antonio Alfano is claiming he committed to LSU. But their recruiting sites can’t even confirm he had an offer despite his claims.

What positions should bama focus on in the portal anyone hear anything other than Evan Stewart?

I don't know if this is true but I'd heard that any player that enters the portal BEFORE 12/4/23 cannot be signed by an SEC team, that it's a weird SEC only rule.
Regardless, it's gonna be nuts how many players nationwide hit the portal on 12/4. I'd love to know the numbers of guys who enter the portal who don't end up being picked up by any other school. It's gotta be a fairly large number.

In my opinion we will need help in the secondary if we lose McKinstry, Arnold and Keys. I would love if they could get a stud rush end since we will have to replace both Turner and Braswell and I think if you could somehow get a d-tackle that could rush the passer, you can't pass that up. We probably lose Marshall and Lawson at linebacker so I am not sure if there is someone in line to replace Lawson right now. Clearly Campbell will get the other spot. I am also game for a stud offensive tackle, running back or wide receiver.

Keanu Koht, Yhonzae Pierre, Qua Russaw and Keon Keeley say hello.

DE: We have plenty of talent for the future (Koht, Keeley, Pierre, Russaw, and Alexander). Stacked.
DL: We have some solid talent, but nowhere near years past at the defensive tackle position. Smith and Renaud should develop nicely, and we still have Keenan and Oatis that can play DT. It would be nice to bring in a true stud at DT.
LB: Marshall is awful. Campbell appears to be ready. I was impressed with Kendrick Blackshire and Shawn Murphy in their limited playing time. Alexander could stand up and play LB too. Again, it would be nice to bring in another stud.
Secondary: We have some young talent (Ricks, Hurley, Mbakwe, Brown), but without the experience that McKinstry and Arnold bring. Key should be easily replaceable by DeVonta Smith, considering that Key is one of our worst players. Downs has locked down the second safety spot for another 2 years.
RB: I'll take Miller and Haynes next year over most in the country. Haynes is the future. Young is explosive too.
WR: Hale has huge upside. We seem to have a solid core, but it would be great to snag Evan Stewart in the portal, or another big time receiver.

Shawn Murphy has looked like he has potential, so maybe him or Campbell will switch LB spots so they can get on the field together.

Murphy is a very good linebacker. Very sure tackler.

His tackling / closing speed on the run was pretty impressive... even if it was against Chatt. I think he has some great potential. It honestly feels like Marshall is just a crutch to get us through this year until others develop some more experience.

We won't lose Lawson. The NFL doesn't have nearly enough film on him. Needs a healthy 2024. He won't be a 1st rd pick this year.

He looks a little smaller, but his measurements are almost identical to Kwon Alexander. Hopefully they find a way to get him on the field a lot next year.
