I'm not casting anything upon his character because I don't know the young man, so understand that before I say anything...
The NFL got plenty of players looking to make the most money they can in the shortest amount of time possible. The league incentivizes that mindset to some degree. The NFL stands for Not For Long to most who play in it.
The thing that separates the mature NFL players from the ones who flame out is whether they let the money affect their performance. Titans cut a guy this week who was pouting over a lack of a long term contract. He wasn't performing on gamedays and now he's out of a job with a black mark on his resume to boot.
The system is set up for Nolan to encourage a bidding war. That's all well and good but he better show up to wherever won the contest with a coachable and team-focused attitude. I don't care if Alabama's boosters pony up millions for him. I care a lot more about him being productive on Saturdays.

I specifically did not refer to him.
I don’t know if he has the focus to play for Bama.
My point is having the TALENT to play for Saban doesn’t mean someone has the DRIVE to play for Saban.
In this era talent can’t be the only factor. It has to be culture fit because one guy putting in 75% effort getting a $1M NIL package is going to sabotage the morale of the guys around him not getting $1M and being held to account for their effort.

Looks like Florida is all in on Jadan Baugh. They absolutely need a RB. I really hope Alabama can still swing Riley and Baugh.
