Riley, at USC and Oklahoma, had always gotten highly regarded defensive recruits, but I can't ever remember him being able to field a good defense. I don't know if it's due to him having bad DCs, if he just doesn't care about defense, or if he runs the kind of offense that keeps the defense in the field until they are exhausted. I don't think anyone could ever really say that the talent isn't there.

You’d think there would be mutual interest between Stewart and Bama. This will be interesting.

It will test the thought process of getting the best player available no matter what vs sticking with continuity.

We have Bond, Hale(former 5 star), Kobe, Law and Benson. Ryan Williams coming in. Those are dudes and team guys. Do you potentially upset the apple cart?

On the other hand how can you say no to an elite talent at WR added to the receiver group?

Burton and Jamo were really big needs at the time we got them. I’m not sure Stewart is.

Ryan Williams is elite. Possibly Jameson Williams elite with the ability to step right in and play. I think if we pursue Stewart this might show how Saban and the staff think on Williams' ultimate destination.

Williams is a difference maker. Immediate IMO. We won't need Stewart with him in the fold. If he's not coming you take Stewart.

Foreman doesn’t care about football, he is unfortunately a bust on his own accord

Nelson had shoulder surgery and hasn’t been back to 100%, I believe Miller Moss is ahead of him and is expected to be the starter barring a transfer

This may have some truth to it, but I don’t think it’s that simple. Ryan Williams may be a small factor in pursuing Stewart, but I don’t think it’s the deciding factor

I see a lot of potential in the “lower rated” guys in this class. Jay Lindsey is a guy I see having a productive career here. The trio of ILBs could not be more different in playing style in the best way. Also, not much talk about Rico Scott since he has been committed so long, but his 247 comp is John Metchie who writ his name in crimson flame.

Jackson was a heavy lean to us, then Riley got him to go to USC at the last minute. There is already a familiarity with him so it wouldn't surprise me if he comes here.
been a couple years so memory could be off but I’m pretty sure he was planning to come here and be roommates with Bryce. Lincoln Riley coming in and keeping Donte Williams kept him out west.

Idk what our guys are saying but A&M and Texas people seem to think Stewart is going to end up here.

On3 posted a “flip watch” video with one of their national insiders and he leaned towards Bama with Houston. He said based on his intel that’s his prediction at the moment. Posted 4 hours ago.

A team wants four elite receivers, not just one. They both can play at the same time. Bond, Stewart, Williams and 4th receiver.

Also, if Ryan Williams is the real deal… he will see the field regardless. I doubt he’s scared of competition, because on the rare chance he chose AU… they have 2 5* WRs in this class. I don’t think snagging Stewart affects him

Also… please let the Houston flip happen. That would be crazy with Houston and LT a few days apart!

I would love to get kj Bolden tomorrow, just for Florida St fans reactions. I know we're not getting him, but man would they melt.

Anyone got a “schedule” of times for our potential commits? Houston, Riley, Favor, Canadian DL guy who’s name I can’t spell, etc?

Sure but you’re opening up to guys transferring if he comes in. Players want to play.

I don’t want to lose Hale, Law or Prentice. Cole Adams, Henderson and incoming Amari Jefferson all have big time potential. Benson struggles to catch in traffic so I’m not mad at him leaving…he may be gone either way honestly. I think Williams would come regardless of Stewart but Auburn would definitely use it as ammo.

I’m not opposed to getting Stewart at all. Just curious if getting him is worth the potential butterfly effect. These are the tough decisions Nick has to make. I trust the man either way.

Down below are the signing ceremony times for Alabama's commitments and targets tomorrow. Commitments typically get their NLIs signed early in the morning, and have a ceremony with friends, teammates, and family members later on. So, the times below are the ceremony times, not necessarily when they will submit their NLI.

This original post will be updated as we continue to gather more signing times for tomorrow. All times posted will be Central Time.

** Designates Summer Enrollee

Commitments:

Bowl prep players are expected to have a signing ceremony of some sorts tomorrow, though there's not much information on it right now. We'll update this post if any additional info comes in. The players already on campus are Caleb Odom, Casey Poe, Dre Kirkpatrick, Joseph Ionata, Julian Sayin, Peyton Woodyard, Sterling Dixon, William Sanders, and Zabien Brown.

Cayden Jones — 7 A.M. (ceremony at his school was already previously done)
Jaylen Mbakwe — 10 A.M.
Jeremiah Beaman — 10 A.M.
Isaia Faga and Red Morgan — 11 A.M.
Justin Okoronkwo — 11:30 A.M.
Jameer Grimsley — 12 P.M.
Jayshawn Ross — 2:45 P.M.

** Jay Lindsey — Signing ceremony will be Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
** Rico Scott — 8:30 A.M.
** Amari Jefferson — No ceremony (on a cruise)

Five-Star Plus+ WR Ryan Williams is not expected to sign on Wednesday. He is planning to sign on his birthday, Feb. 9.

Targets:

Steve Mboumoua — 11 A.M.
Eddrick Houston (Ohio State commitment) — 12 P.M.
Aeryn Hampton — 12 P.M.
Kevin Riley (Miami commitment) — 1 P.M.
Solomon Williams — 3 P.M.
Jadan Baugh — 5:00 P.M. (tentative time)
Favour Edwin — TBD

Note: Daniel Hill and Zay Mincey are expected to sign tomorrow, but will announce their decisions at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio on Jan. 6.

I don't care about players transferring. I do not want Alabama to miss a great player just so other players don't transfer.

I want the four best receivers on the field next year that Alabama can possibly field.

If players transfer, then they weren't good enough to beat out the other man and get playing time.

Get the best players and play them.

So for example if Stewart did transfer here and hypothetically Williams flipped because of it(again…hypothetically) would that mean Williams wasn’t good enough to play here suddenly? How about Hale or Prentice? Guys leave for other reasons outside of “not being good enough”.

I understand your line of thinking but I don’t think it’s that simple.
