Young’s commitment was highly unexpected but I was very happy about it. Dudes a beast.

Absolutely! Contrary to 247's rankings, he's the 2nd best DL in this loaded DL crop from MS. Unlike Handy, he doesn't freelance when the play isn't in his direction. Young looks to be long, is good at shedding blockers, and reads plays well. He needs to add some weight, but that won't be a problem when Cochran works with him.

Regardless, if he shows up at the Second Cookout in late July, that should be a really good sign.

A couple people that I pay attention to posted that the last they had heard at the Spring evaluation period, Bama's staff had Young ranked ahead of even Pickering (and both ahead of Handy) on their board. The order could have changed since then. I don't know. But in any case, Young has been a huge priority. We've heard the Dalvin Tomlinson comparisons. One of them personally compares him to Quennin Wiliams. Good company either way.

He's already 280. At DE, he won't need to add much.

Looking at the camp highlights did Pickering even get beat. Man he was tearing it up and it looked easy.

Yeah that's about heavy enough. Just targeted S&C to reduce body fat and replace it with good skrong/quick muscle weight.

The cookout is about to be loaded. Might beat the 1st one.. Alabama is going to fill this class really fast. I’m thinking 22-24 might sign in December.

Poor UT. JJ Peterson still not qualified. Probst is saying the earliest is July 26th or by start of camp. They were expecting him in for summer terms but made neither.

Don’t let him fool you. PS4 is where the gamers are. Xbox kinda like the minor leagues.

Both are minor leagues. PC is where the gamers are.

If you have a PC and a Nintendo Switch, you’re set IMO. A good bit of Sony’s big time games like Nier come to Steam right off the bat and Nintendo obviously has all there stuff no console will ever get, on the go at that.

So, you might as well be for starting Jalen Hurts if you’re all about that native 4K 60FPS gameplay junk with the Xbox and PS4.

Because that doesn’t include refresh rate and vertical synchronization options along with anisotropic filtering

We bought our son a PS4 pro when they came out and it's pretty sweet. I have a triple 30" monitor gaming rig I built myself as well.

I bought an XBox 360 because it had the GOAT multiplayer game, Halo 3. I don't really play online anymore Halo and COD have gone down hill fast IMO.

Kevin Hagan on Bill King this am. Nothing groundbreaking.

Echoed what a few others have said, that Young was really high on Bama's board.

Basically said he viewed Thibodeaux as leaning towards Bama at this time but he gets a little nervous with west coast kids. Said if he didn't stay home it looks like Bama with Fla. St. #2 right now.

FWIW, said expect a few more surprise commitments in the few days after second cookout. I don't know how that's even possible at this point but I was surprised by Tanner Bowles, Justin Eboigbe, DeMarcco Hellams, Keilan Robinson and Byron Young so I guess I should stop being surprised.

Said the staff would continue to hit the D.C. area hard in 20.

Finally, said we'll probably never have another Derrick Thomas but he thinks Terrell Hall has a chance to have a Derrick Thomas like season next year.

I miss the glory days of MW2 and the original Black Ops. So many wasted hours on that. I try to play now and the game isn’t as good and I’m not as good.

But on the recruiting front, how many more defensive lineman do we take? I know this board has speculated we will cut ties with Cheney. There are still a lot of linemen on the board that we are in a good position for, who do we take?

To paraphrase an old saying: "Take them all, let God sort them out."
