Yep. When Nathan Pickering and his mom visited months ago, she said if it was her decision, she would've committed to Bama on that visit. And after that visit he said Bama was his leader. Then within a week or two, he committed to MSU.

I did read that about him saying if he flipped it would be to Bama but he has been pro MSU everything g I read. It’s hard to get Kids from over here to leave the state with this year being the exception more than other years. I am good friends with a coach in that area and he has always said MSU for him. Maybe with their finish , he reconsiders bc their momentum has waned on the field . I view it like Young who has said that Bama was a business decision but he has always been a LSU fan Maybe the staff can go all out in these last few recruits after tomorrow night and sway them but he has been a big recruiter for MSU

Funny enough Tuscaloosa is slightly closer to Seminary than Starkville.

And a lot easier to get to. It's all interstate.

Makes no sense. Cooper was a top 5 rated wr coming out of high school. Herb was the 50th
At first Cooper was a 3 star but after he committed to Alabama and then "showed out" at an all star game he got "reevaluated". I.e., he was not highly regarded at first. Idk at what point he was taken to the Miami coaches as remembered in that article.

Great melts from Caneinsight
quote:

There’s now been a full generation of top players from South Florida that have been bought and paid for by the SEC. At the beginning when we were on top, the Dwayne Bowes and Ricky Jean Francois were supposedly going there for “playing time”. How come that hasn’t applied to Miami these last ten years? The sad part is that this fraudulent system has now enabled Bama to match (and likely surpass) our accomplishments in the 80s-00s, and the worst part is that they’re doing it featuring Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, and Jerry Jeudy. Meanwhile Saban couldn’t do jack at Michigan State. The whole thing is really such a joke that it makes me wonder why I should even bother any more. I just hope those clowns plan on spending their post-football careers outside of South Florida because at this point, I feel like all of these traitors should be viewed with the same disdain as Nevin Shapiro

This fricker has LSU like entitlement
quote:

It's not just the community that should not be okay with these kids going off to the Bamas of the world, it's their own teammates. It's other SFL kids. It's our own damn players. I see this stuff on Twitter all the time: a big local HS star spurns us for Bama or UGA, one of our players retweets their commitment video with a good luck comment like, "do work lil bruh!!!" Or some sh1t like that. Sure, they're friends, maybe even former teammates. But even our own players are being supportive of it to a point. I'd like to see our players give those guys the silent treatment, and if they try to come back and ask why they weren't supported in their decision to leave...I want our guys to have that mentality of, "You chose to leave. You're on the other side of the ball now. You're the enemy. You wanted support, you should have stayed here with me to win, not run off to the SEC or wherever."

No more postgame photo ops with kids that went to Wisky from SFL after Wisky beats us 35-3. Old Canes would have been ready to throw hands, not ready to pose with a guy who went thousands of miles away to school but somehow still wants to rep his city after playing on another team to beat Miami. Fvck all of that.

So much delusion. This is the same school that was a frickin sneeze away from getting the death penalty in 2011.

Take Two: Is LSU in front for five-star Ishmael Sopsher?

quote:

THE STORYLINE

Five-star Ishmael Sopsher is the top-ranked defensive tackle in the 2019 class and the second-best prospect in the state of Louisiana rankings. It’s important LSU lands local players like him.

And it looks like the Tigers might be tough to beat. Sopsher, who looks to be down to LSU and Alabama, said recently that he plans to play with his brother in college and that he’s only going to consider programs that will take both of them.

Rodney Sopsher is a defensive end at Summit (Miss.) Southwest Mississippi C.C. whose recruitment has not taken off, but LSU has reportedly told the Sopshers that they would take both in their 2019 recruiting class.

Alabama might not have the room.

Can Sopsher’s recruitment be this easy to figure out since the Tigers definitely have space for both Rodney and Ishmael Sopsher or can Alabama or even another program get involved this late in the recruiting process?

No fricking shite.

quote:

FIRST TAKE: SAM SPIEGELMAN, TIGERDETAILS.COM

“First and foremost, LSU has put an early offer on the table for his older brother, Rodney, a JUCO defensive lineman. That came in August, and the Tigers made their move to bring both brothers on board with full scholarship offers. Additionally, Alabama's class is quickly filling up, and there are 28 commitments with room for one more. Meanwhile, LSU has 19 signees and room for six spots. That, in theory, means there's ample spots for both the 5-star defensive lineman and his older brother.

“Sopsher has maintained his choice is simple: he wants to play with his brother and he expects Rodney to earn a full scholarship at the same college. If that's the criteria, then this is LSU's race to lose. Alabama, Texas A&M and Oregon are some of the teams exploring ways to match the Tigers. Until another school makes an offer, LSU is running out in front.”

Ole Spiegs don't know what he's talking about.
