All of this is bc Saban keeps timeouts before halftime. Recuits have caught on that he is a bad coach.

So Michigan fans claim Alabama paid Hill when he flipped. Now Hill flips back to a program that hasn't won shite in his entire existence, has less success in putting safties in the NFL than Bama, and has a head coach who spends more time whining to the refs than he does coaching.

Sounds like a clean recruitment.

I really can appreciate that you are generally an optimist, but the problem is the trend, if 2 years can be considered that. Personally, I think the most likely reason we are faltering late, on the bluest of blue chips, is that opposing coaches, every one of them, is stressing that Saban may not be here their 4 or 5 years.

Last year, I attributed it to the fact the coaches may not have been the best closers, like Saban generally has, but these guys are supposed to be better, but the results are looking to be about the same.

I'm am also generally optimistic, at least moreso than pessimistic, and it's still a good class and hopefully next year we'll be back to what is normally the best in the nation with St. Nick. But it may not happen.

I'd buy the "Recruits think or are being told that Saban is retiring" stuff but I think that would play out earlier in the recruiting cycle, right? We are seeing us strike out on guys who supposedly lean or are 50/50 at the very end.

I know we missed a kid or two, but it's pretty difficult to melt, if you take this approach.

the glaring lack, imo, is rb and surprisingly, only 1 wr.

This thread is actually way more entertaining than I thought it would be under the circumstances. Some of the Melt/Alter/Troll post are almost Shakespearean in quality. I'm down for that. Keep it up men we got a long way to go.

How many is Georgia taking this year? Didn't they sign a huge class last year or something? Am I remembering right?

We have been on 1 wr for a long time now. That isn't a miss, that is a choice the staff made months ago.

RB we have Keilan and will push for Dj williams if Sanders does go to UGA.

Alabama is sitting at No. 1 in the class rankings, and with Battle on board, the coaching staff has 20 ESPN 300 commitments in the class. That is the most ESPN 300 commits of any FBS program, and the staff has a chance to land a few more recruits throughout the day.
