The fact that we are even entertaining another QB with as many as we have on the roster tells me that the staff isn't comfortable with the future at QB. This isn't like the rb situation where we just need bodies in case of injury.

people are reading alot into a guy visiting. we recruited him out of highschool, why would he not come here on a visit at least? also, say we did have bateman transfer, morris quit, and coker of course gone. then we have 2 qbs and an incoming freshman in hurts. you always want to have 4 qbs for safety. i can see why we would take him, but i dont see why he would want to come here if he wants to see the field

Why would we tell a guy not to come visit? What could we possible have to lose from him coming to see what we have to offer? I think a mountain is being made out of a mole hill here.

That's what im saying. Im thinking we will have guys to leave this year. Even with that I don't see this guy coming in and playing.

Coker will graduate. Morris will be a 5th year senior next year and can transfer elsewhere and play right away. And I really don't see Bateman sticking around much longer if doesn't start. So before next summer Bama could easily be down to Cromwell, Barnett and the incoming QB from Texas at QB.

According to Bone, only if we have an emergency situation toward the end of summer

if they are not in the picture you gotta think bama has an outstanding shot

Id feel a lot better if Ole Miss wasn't in that list and how about FSU hating on the SEC SMH.

Actually makes me feel like he winds up at LSU. Kids love to play the game. Him leaving LSU out when they are clearly in it just seems like a thinly veiled smoke screen

Kinda how I feel, split really on the exclusion. Could be good, could be bad.
I still like Bama's chances, especially with him well aware of the depth chart situation.

Lets correct something here you are not giving facts but relaying 2nd and 3rd hand information. Still have yet to see any quote from Gary naming UA his leader. And I hope you are right but you to are assuming we have a legit shot. Many on our current roster were not projected to be on it and on other rosters were expected to be on it from the same people you are getting your info. So yes there is no logic in recruiting

Then what's the point in me even saying anything at all?
So we've established that I don't KNOW for an absolute fact what a 17-18 year old is going to do. Well, good. Now maybe we can go to the next topic.

But I mean no ill-will here. It's all good.

I'm in Gulf Shores for a wedding this weekend.
I've already mapped out the $100 handshake to Jack West in Saraland.
Anyone else I should hit up while I'm down here? I can't think of any.
