They were fine, but I was not impressed with how he tried to attack Clemson at all.

Didn't matter what he called. They couldn't block Clemson. Like, at all.

I addressed that later, there are ways to try and attack pressure from the dline and I did not see that from him. Doesn't mean he can't be a great OC, just that's a dissapointing thing for me.

How pissed are the recruits on the offensive side of the ball going to be? They just committed early and have no clue who is going to be their coach.

Saban is their coach.

My sources are saying the entire offensive staff put money on Clemson and then threw the game. Saban found out, and fired them all.

*Edit* Now that I think about it, Saban may want to investigate the defensive coaches as well.

Take it for what it's worth (which is nothing because I just made it up to explain away the bad loss and the coaches leaving).

But, I have no doubt Saban will replace them all with good coaches. I just wish he would make them sign some sort of binding 3 year contract or something.

Chip Long would be a really good hire

I'd be good with Long...he was hired after ND went 4-8 in '16...the next two years they went 10-3 and 12-1...and he seemed to get the most out of Ian Book this year...

A lot of kids aren't committing to the head coach but commit to assistants who have built the relationship with them. You're not being honest if you don't think some of these kids are going to be upset

Maybe time to look at some of the coaches at Syracuse? they seemed to have given CU all they wanted tnis year.. or maybe some of the Pitt coaches? Time to hire and recruit for the "Beat Dabo" idea. (seems like that's how CNS started at Bama... Beat FU)

The Pitt coach that beat Clemson was Matt Canada

Butch Jones wasnt he an O guy from Cincinnati? What happened to him going to Maryland with Locks? If he stays at Bama would he be a positive add to one of the position coaches or would that be just "self-respect" thing that would keep him from accepting anything other than an Co-ordinator position?

Maybe time for ESPN to do a 30 on 30 about the former Maryland coach and show that he was not to blame other than having hired an idiot... clear him up for an Analyst post at Bama...

Rumors seemed to have faded about the DLine coach? with all the O coaches leaving, seems maybe the D coaches are holding it together.

It's other issues why you don't hire Matt Canada.

There is a reason that he only lasted one year at Pitt and LSU.

I don’t want Butch Jones as OC or much of anything. His offenses were horrible at TN.

I wonder if Saban would be interested in making a run at Gattis. Up Michigan’s offer. Great recruiter and coach.

I dont think he (Saban) wasnt blindsided by this and I cant see him trying to get Gattis after he left.

There is a whole lot of hand-wringing in this crowd. Allow Nick Saban to coach. He does it much better than we do.

This is a message board during a down time of the year and still reeling off the NCG loss, let people feel how they want to feel when something they thought was set (Gattis and Enos returning) has been blown up.

If Saban wanted Gattis as OC he would've made him the OC before he left. It's not like Saban just found out today Enos would be leaving.
