He was never going to make it here. Trim the fat and bring in another stud. #Processed

Really hate when people post like this. These are kids man; they aren't even paid professional athletes.

No recruit wants to he treated as another number or a future "fat" to be trimmed and it's precisely this crap people us to negatively recruit Alabama which Saban and the staff have to defend themselves against.

You can trim the fat and win 5 out of 9 Natty’s, or you can keep the fat and not win 5 out of 9 Natty’s, you decide..

I’d rather see guys stick around on the OL. It’s nice to have the luxury of plugging a fifth year senior into the lineup. But some of y’all will never learn that when it comes to OL play.

But he has his degree and can find more immediate playing time elsewhere. Can’t fault him for that.

Yes, fans sometimes are the worst. My hats off to any kid that wants to come in and compete. If it doesn't work out we should wish them well if they have done everything asked of them. If they were a screw up then good riddance but if they did what was asked, went to class, graduated and practiced hard then more power to them and wish them well. Some people are just too stupid to see that.

I’m going to guess from the results of the last 10 recruiting rankings, that Nick Saban hasn’t had any problem defending himself from message board posts that I’ve made similar to this...

That's not what he is saying.

His point was "you don't have to be an a-hole about it".

Oh that’s completely my fault bro. Next time I’ll sprinkle some sugar and rainbows around my posts so that reality doesn’t hurt your little feelings.

I appreciate everything he's done in TTown. Selfishly, I wish he would stay for depth but I completely understand his situation. Best of luck wherever he ends up.

Nah, just don't continue to sprinkle sewage and vomit around your posts for no reason.

Whatever you think it does for you, it doesn't. One of the best signs of intelligence is a person's ability to speak with tact.

My feelings aren't hurt, you just represent the community that we're a part of very poorly.

Trimming the fat is an expression everyone uses. I want better players on my team, and that’s what’s happening. Put on your big boy pants. Are you going to cry all afternoon about it?

You're really dense to such an extent that you don't understand the points being made against you, even after they've been clarified?

Nah, but I don't have a problem with calling you out indefinetely for being toxic.

That worked liked 30 years ago maybe, but this is 2018. Go take some muay thai or something and feel better about yourself.

I don't love that saying, but things are at least much better than they used to be in the old days when they would drive players out in the woods and kick them out of the car.

In all seriousness, OL is one place we can afford attrition. Having said that though, I don't envision us having any problem getting to 85 and my best guess is that Saban would have preferred Kennedy stay (all indications are that he is good depth player). However, at least from everything I've heard, Kennedy has been a class act and I can't blame a kid (especially one who is graduating) from wanting to play (especially if he already has two rings as a back-up).

The fact that it doesn't "hurt us" doesn't mean you need to be a dick about a kid who played for Alabama and put his guts on the line for us for 2-3 years.

I mean, this is America, you are more than welcome to do it. But it's stupid and obnoxious. And I guarantee you Saban would verbally berate your arse if you told him this to his face. I'd think a guy with the "saban n bear" handle would put some stock in that.
