He stuck it out and got his education paid for. Definitely should be rewarded in some way. I respect him for not quitting like Holden and the other guys who transferred.

I'm stunned people here believe in Buchner. Dude was trash against OSU last season when I watched the OSU vs ND opening game.

He threw more INTs then TDs.

He was inaccurate. Had a low QBR as well.

Like what are you guys seeing???

If he's the guy, I have no hope for the season.

Chill out, dude.

No one I've seen here wants him to win the job. He's just put on a lot of weight.

General consensus is we want Simpson to lead the offense from what I can tell.

Oh okay, I believe I saw some support earlier on and that just baffled me. In the end I just want us to win, could carelessly about anything else.

In a perfect scenario Ty Simpson takes a huge stride and wins this position convincingly. If not I would put Milroe's inaccurate non-reading arse in over Buchner. At least he can just pump fake and run.

Sometimes people need a different situation. I wouldn’t completely close the door on him.

I don't think anyone is really pulling for Buchner to win the job. But at the same time Burrow was pretty arse before his senior season at LSU. Sometimes guys just click and turn it around. It happens. If Buchner is the guy hopefully it's because he flipped a switch and not because Ty and Jalen suck. Out of the 3 guys I have to believe one of them can be at least a QB on the level of Coker.

Ty Simpson is significantly more talented than Coker as a passer. And he’s more athletic than anyone believes. But I hope that people continue to sleep on him.

In this photo it looks like Pritchett is at LT, rather than Proctor.

Also looks like Danny Lewis at TE.

How many other games have you watched? Weren’t you also the one who was very anti Mac Jones and wanted Bryce to start?

Moving JC and Book to the right side makes me think that will help the run game. Would love to see Proctor at LT and Pritchett at LG or vice versa

Jalen had similar if not worse stats against LSU in his first year.

In 2018 Burrow had 8 games under 150 QBR (4 that didn't even break 100). In 2019 he had just 1 game under 150 and 9 games broke 200. Are we going to keep pretending like players can't improve from one year to the next?

Besides if we're really getting back to emphasizing the run game, we don't need the QB to be Bryce-like

I find him intriguing. Drew Pyne was like 7-2 as a starter and playing pretty good ball. Yet they immediately benched him for Buchner coming off a 3 month injury. Someone in the Notre Dame building, and now our building, really likes him. Before they got Hartman, they made it very clear who they thought the future was

Buchner then gunslinged his way to a 5td 3 turnover game in the bowl. Not dissimilar from Jalen Hurts first game. Turnover heavy but showed flashes

None of this matters, but I showed a guy who is a die hard TN fan the youtube video of them throwing and he said, "Watching this I'd go with 15 without much hesitation." He also said, "That kid would scare me more, he throws dots." Just a perspective from someone without any bias.

Ferguson seems to be running with the 1s at LG right now. Do you prefer Pritchett at LG over Ferguson?

If some receivers emerge and we get rid of the BoB tendencies that made things harder on Bryce than they needed to be, our QB floor is a lot higher than people think. Someone is gonna emerge from this group and be at least decent

That’s what we are waiting on. Someone to emerge. We shall see. I can’t wait to see the scrimmage.

I think that we have the dudes, multiple freshman showed flashes last season, and it wouldn't surprise me if Brooks finally breaks out. And then there is Burton who is solid.
