It's absolutely wild to have guys like Jameis Winston and Carson Wentz in the same grouping as Lamar Jackson. A majority of QBs, despite era, have some ability to extend plays and/or go off script using their feet. I wouldn't consider a good portion of these guys as "dual threat."

Right. A former WR is considered a statue.

They are using the slightest mobility as “dual threat” to push their agenda.
Most QBs are the most athletic kids in highschool. A lot of QBs play baseball, football, and basketball. Some of them do more than that.
A true dual threat QB to me is someone that can succeed through the air and on the ground even if the defense purposely tries to shut one of them down.
For example, Lamar is going to do what he does regardless. Josh Allen is going to do what he does regardless. Cam Newton used to, and Hurts is starting to become that guy.
Mahomes is so good through the air that you have to focus on pass defense which allows him to make plays with his feet. Burrow kind of falls in this category as well.
A mobile QB isn’t a dual threat if you can gameplan their running ability or passing ability away. A dual threat is going to do what they do and you better outscore them.

Well, for one, I never said "dual threat." I specifically said "guys who can use the legs to make plays off-script" because there are 2 different types.
Guys who run to run (Allen, Lamar, Hurts, Fields, Murray) and guys who run to extend passing plays (Mahomes, Burrow, Russell Wilson, Bryce Young).
They do it in different ways, but all are stark contrasts to your 2000s-2010s stalwarts like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Phillip Rivers, Drew Brees, Carson Palmer, Matt Stafford, etc.

It's pretty laughable to Tua in the mobile category. Dude has been caught, and damaged more than any other QB in the last two season. He's a great passer but not mobile. The rest of this is just garbage. There is one truth here. Historically in the NFL there are many QB's who took several seasons before maturing and becoming stars. Johnny U was returning kicks when he was a rookie. Lots of hall of famers were utterly unnoticed coming into the league. It's unfair to expect a college QB to be at an all pro level immediately, it's happened a few times but it's really rare.

Tua has always been dual threat. At Alabama we used to design runs for him. You don’t design runs for statues. Now in the NFL he hasn’t run a whole lot due to a bad hip and injury.

It's so good to see Eboigbe back ready to go. His loss was felt greatly on the defensive line in 2022 because he was playing the best ball of his career at that point. Booker could be the next Barrett Jones type player. He's a no-nonsense Alabama type player.

I sure hope all of these seeds of hope that our oline is getting back to being bullies becomes fruitful by September.

Seems like Kadyn Proctor is impressing people so far. He's a gigantic dude for someone his age. I think that he will end up starting sooner rather than later. Maybe at left tackle.

Don't see it with Dalcourt starting at G.

It's 10x more difficult to run block as a Center than a Guard.
A Center has to make sure the QB gets the ball first and is generally catching the defender and trying to hold his ground. A Guard just gets to attack, and has the advantage of knowing the snap count.
Dalcourt could easily be a mauler Guard while being a so-so Center.
