I realize the players are responding to a question, but I find it so interesting how differently Alabama players view the season/games. Auburn appears to be obsessed with Alabama, as if their entire season revolves around beating ’Bama.
Alabama players are so indoctrinated into “the process”, and is evidenced by Phidarian’s response to a question about expanding playoffs. “We’ve been told to accept whatever comes your way.“
As much as I love winning, I get equally excited seeing these young men succeed in life and represent our university in an outstanding manner.

Yes, the Auburn players are obsessed with beating Bama. That goes without saying. It's the media dipshits who intentionally stir the pot with the questions they ask. Every day this week, a team and their coach/players was asked a question about Alabama. The obsession with seeing our program get knocked off extends to the media. You have rival media hacks that work for Auburn, LSU, A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss, etc. that intentionally stir the pot. If you notice, Alabama beat writers never touch on rivals. It's all about our program and how we're doing.

Okay and if he didn't work to be one of the best at his position in high school our GOAT wouldn't have went to ask him if he would join Alabama over his other options.
I don't think anybody is saying the guys on our roster don't deserve to be on it, or didn't work hard to get a spot, or even that they don't deserve the money they're now making.
That being said, if you're proposing that players don't benefit significantly from the prestige of being at Bama, which in the NIL era is likely better and more lucrative than 99.9% of other programs in the country...well that's just plain ignorant. There's plenty of great players at other programs that will make just as much (and maybe more) money as Bama players once in the pros...but they likely won't sniff the same NIL earnings as their Bama counterparts. There's more than one reason for that. That's not simply because of the hard work that players like Bryce, who many have pointed out has yet to play a meaningful snap, put in during high school. Bryce was previously committed to USC. He obviously worked hard for that opportunity as well. Do you think he'd be making nearly as much there as at Bama? Likely not.
No...a lot of it is due to Saban himself, and the unprecedented dynasty he's built over the past 15 years despite massive turnover in both the roster and staff, each and every year. It's something he started building back when most of the current roster was still in elementary school. Something he built before NIL was ever truly considered by the powers that be. Saban absolutely gave the guys on the roster something. He gave them an opportunity to benefit from the superpower he's established over a decade of relentless work. And we should all be happy that they chose to accept his offer, and they're currently profiting from it substantially.
Looking forward to seeing our Million Dollar QB in action this season.

and u can be sure this will be a talking point by the talking heads when games are on TV about how much someone is making. They may not give that sponsor a free plug on TV though.

According to a poster on BOL Agiye Hall has been tearing it up this week.
"Hall made plays down the field in all situations…maybe more over the top scores than summer total for other WRs."
"Leary looks good when teamed with Tyson. Maybe because of the defense on the main field, but most of the big down-the-field plays and over-the-top catches by WRs are on Tyson's field. All top TEs are with Bryce and his best plays this summer usually are to TEs...or to RBs on both quick releases and check downs."
Someone asked if baker and Bolden were still with the 1s
"Yes...every practice all summer…but Baker had black jersey this week.
Metchie wears black off and on so there are always alternate WRs with 1s. Holden with 1s last few weeks and (along with TEs) targeted most by Bryce.
IMO Metchie, Williams & Bolden start, plus Baker for blocking in run or quick screen game."
"Right. More pronounced in 11-on-11, but 1D also very confident in 7-on-7."
"Defense usually ahead of offense pre-season, but it is surprising this year to see them so dominant in shorts.
Back In spring, in pads Anderson disrupted just about anything offense tried."

The offense will only get better practicing against this defense. Every play will be contested. I can't wait to see how dominant this defense can be.

I am not sure what are numbers are looking like going into the fall for scholarships but I had forgotten about the Covid exemption until I heard Dabo's interview the other day. He said they will have 92 on scholarship this fall and that a few ACC teams will have over 100 players on scholarship. He was praising the leadership on his team as he will have 5 6th year players returning and 3 5th year player returning.
Anyone know how many we will have on scholarship?

I think Crimsonclover is really Tidesaint. One of those batman moments when you've lived a the hero long enough to become the villain. Or to become Sicilian. I was never sure what he says there. Besides, if you anagram their names, add or change a few letters and numbers, it is clearly the same user name. On second thought, maybe it's not Tidesaint.
