Finebaum’s only saving grace is he has or at least used to have legit sauces in both programs in the state and often had the scoop before the mainstream media. I think now most of that has been cut off so he’s just a shite stirrer now.

Hopefully some of the chicken little fans who are treating this like Saban himself is leaving.

The real question is will Sark try to poach Bama coaches the way Kirby did when he left?

He’s part shite stirrer, part ESPN shill. You can tell when he’s just regurgitating talking points from above.

espn draft guys have Mac as the fifth QB. They even hinted at the fact that Mac may decide to come back and elevate himself to the number 1 QB next year.
They have clemson and OSU as top two. Then the BYU and the North Dakota State QB ahead of Mac. The NDS guy only played one game.

PFF: Alabama QB Mac Jones has orchestrated what is arguably the best passing attack in college football history
To all the people (mostly LSU fans) that think Mac’s success is completely due to his supporting cast and he’s always throwing to wide open receivers

quote:
The Bama quarterback has thrown an uncatchable ball on just 18.7% of his 10-plus-yard passes, which is over four percentage points better than any other Power 5 quarterback since we began charting QB accuracy and ball location back in 2018.
Further cementing his place at the top is Jones' ability to limit negative plays. One of the most important and stable statistical measures to quarterback play is negatively graded throw rate, and there hasn’t been a better quarterback in that metric this season than the Crimson Tide passer. Not only does he lead all quarterbacks in negatively graded play rate this year, but he also leads every single QB of the PFF College era.
And all of this success isn’t entirely because he has open throw after open throw. He's actually thrown into a tight window on 15.2% of his passes this season, a rate that is about four percentage points higher than Tagovailoa's last season and is nearly double that of Justin Fields (8.3%) this year. Oh, and Jones has also been the most accurate passer on tight-window throws this season — by a large margin.

So, before I mention anything, I just want to say I am just looking for information here. I know it has been a sore subject and topic of debate between some posters but was just wondering if anyone had any updates on how Jaylen Waddle is doing?

I mean, that kind of take is either a troll of made by an idiot. There are no two ways around it. Anybody who has eyes and watches football games knows that Mac has been a wizard throwing the football.

That will never happen, but, just for the record, Mac could have two more years if he wanted them.

Finebum made a living trying to get Ala coaches fired in the 70s and 80s. But, this was a case of social media run amuck. Finebum said something like, if Saban wins the NC it would be perfect timing to retire, BUT its not going to happen. Social media just cut off the second half of his sentence. Finebum is a TN homer.

I don’t think all of them are trolls. The thread on Mac being a Heisman finalist over on r/CFB had the same thing. The top comment was asking how many QBs would have his numbers if they played in the same offense, and the answers were quite a few.
People did the same thing with Derrick Henry in 2015. They said he was only putting up big numbers because he had a lot of carries (so the system he played in) and his OL is the best nation (it most definitely wasn’t). People claimed plenty of RBs could put up those numbers if under the same situation.
These people see all the talent and automatically assume every player with big numbers is only playing that well because of the other players with big numbers. To some extent it’s true. Some of our players have been overrated in college. Others have turned out to the good. It’s also selection bias like with the “Bama gets away with holding all the time” even though so do most teams. Holding happens on most plays yet is rarely called period.

But I was told that Mac only looks good because Smitty is always wide open.
