Michigan fired Defensive Coordinator Don Brown. Another option for after the season depending on what happens with Golding.

I would prefer someone who could regularly keep Ohio State below 40 points.

Not going to read too much into it, but in today's practice photos posted by Potter, Kendall Randolph is rocking his #60 jersey and it looks like he's working with the 1s (based on Najee running the ball). I know there are some formations where he's an extra tackle, but still thought it was interesting:

Just a few years ago, Brown was considered one of the best DCs in the game.

Jalen's sophomore tape was abysmal. Comparing Senior and Sophomore Jalen is a laughably bad take.

Daboll's offense was clearly a pro-ready scheme. It was entirely different when Tua came in, with much more vertical routes in the playcalling. The large issue was Jalen just didn't have the ability to throw downfield at that point. It's hard to fault Daboll for not being able to adapt when his entire career up to that point had been with players who could push the ball downfield on at least an average level.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bill Clark get a look at DC.

why would a great HC take a demotion to be a DC at Bama. Why do people like you and others just throw chit against the wall. Like an earlier post about getting the DC at Mi who just got fired. Why in Hades would we want him as our DC.

Maybe because he's a head coach at UAB, would make more at Bama, would stay in the state's retirement system because his entire career had been in state of Alabama, he's an excellent defensive coach and has all the connections you need in the state high school system.
Anything else?

He was going to take the Auburn job until he was told he had to keep Steele and 2 other assistants.
Golding makes more right now than Bill Clark does as head coach.
But he likes his situation. At UAB. In Birmingham. Ok.

that was my point..Why lower himself on the national scale to be a DC at Bama. Which is what you started with. It is not always about the money when you have enough to say grace over. He has full control at UAB and his day will open up. He would have taken AU had they given him full control. And I bet offers have come his way over the last few years and he is going to pull the trigger when it is right.

I went to Prattville during the Clark years and still know a few who played under him. I was told that there was no chance in hell that he'd join Saban. Simply a personality thing.

I personally don't want him on the staff. There were a lot of "rumors" that suggested he didn't run a tight ship.

Just hit share below the video on YouTube, copy link-it’s the first option, then click link to the right here, paste, and name it.

There was a comment about Auburn's boosters being a bit.... unhinged in regards to the HC search. Apparently that was a large reason so many candidates were turned off to the opportunity. I don't think i'd ever want to relinquish program control to where some random person can tell me how to coach because of their net worth.

We kept Sark, for now, so
