Jalen’s biggest problem I feel was his lack of confidence. There were so many instances in 2016-17 that receivers were running open but Hurts wouldn’t throw them the ball.

Expect a battle to keep Karl Scott on the Bama staff. He has received attention from several interested schools in regards to being promoted to a DC.

Can't be mad at a guy for trying to better his career. But I bet if he goes somewhere, it'll be to a P5 school that can pay him more than he is currently making here.

It was discussed briefly that he was asked to look around last year, and may be in the running for Arkansas State DC. I’d like to keep him because he can recruit well. Saban always try to encourage his coaches to look for opportunities, but he has made efforts to keep ones he thinks will work out.

Still want to know where this talk came from, having only seen this recently with his name being brought up for the Arky State DC job.

Seems entirely unfounded...

Well, looks like you wont get a source from me either. I simply said it was briefly discussed he was asked to look around, which Panthers posted a couple days ago. I saw you asked him for sources too. It is a message board and people have pulled stuff from who knows where. I think if Saban wants him to stay, he does.

Maybe he and Butch have a good working relationship?

That part I don't need convincing on, he's an up and coming coach who was ranked the top SEC recruiter in 2020. It's a smart choice for a place like Arky State, especially since Scott recruits a good chunk of that region.

How awesome would it be if Devonta and Mac tied for the Heisman and won it?

Mac must have some brains between his ears. Does he already have his masters degree?

How would they half the trophy in that situation though? Seems unworkable.

Michigan fired Defensive Coordinator Don Brown. Another option for after the season depending on what happens with Golding.
