I had heard rumors about moses and smitty, but they were on the practice field as well. If they opt out, can they still practice?

Isn't the point of opting out is to avoid people and not get the virus?
If they are on the practice field, then they are around over 100 people.
Moses needs to play to secure a 1st round draft pick for himself.
Chris Owens seems like one of the players opting out, based on some of the things he has said the last week.

I saw Owens on the practice video also. His comments were more so about students wanting football, but they are on campus without masks. Didn’t see anything wrong with his comments.

I think Quick is one of them. He dropped lot of weight that fast... So he probably will opt out to gain some weight back.
I think Maybe one of TE's and some CBs.

Some of the early standouts from today’s first practice include:
-Cameron Latu really looking the part at TE
-Ishmael Sophsher looks to be in incredible shape. Looks like a completely different prospect.
-Mac Jones lead the line at QB followed by Paul Tyson and Bryce Young
-Ben Davis and Chris Allen led the way at OLB
-Jahleel Billingsley, who played TE last season, has gotten some looks flexed out at WR

Another rumor is, K Robinson?

He was in line to get serious playing time. I don't know if he want to risk sitting out but then again. who knows?

I saw Waddle on the practice video from yesterday.

If Sopsher is in good playing shape, our DL just took another step forward. The entire defensive line promises to be deep, talented, and experienced.

That's a good video. I see shields on the helmets for some of the player.

I hope so for Davis. Been waiting for the light to come on.

He needs the opportunity to show that he finally took big step.

Going from Saban's history it stands to reason Ben Davis will get every opportunity to prove himself. Saban loves the guys that buy in for their entire time at Bama and who don't give him problems.

Reminds me of the Jerrell Harris situation, light came on his senior year and had a good season.

Alabama WR DeVonta Smith says he is not opting out
quote:
Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith said Tuesday he is not opting out of the upcoming fall football season.
“I believe if I was thinking about not playing, I wouldn’t be here right now,” Smith said during a video news conference, which was his first organized media availability since the Citrus Bowl in January.
quote:
“[It was] just really [about] getting my degree and wanting to come back and finish things the right way,” he explained Tuesday. “I didn’t like the way we did things last year and the way we finished. Just coming back to finish things the right way this year.”
