Don't see why all players don't wear shields,they would be a perfect substitute for masks.
Not sure if they would interfere with catching the ball for WRs but everyone else surely can wear them. What do you guys think?

It's the best option for players on the field, but those face shields, both the helmet ones, and the ones the public are wearing really suck as protection. For the player, it's better than nothing and he can't do any better. For Joe Sixpack, that shield has a big old gap at the bottom between the plexiglass and your face. A gap that droplets and aerosols can exploit all day long.

It beats the hell out of not playing at all. If it is just about player/coaches safety couldn't they just fill the middle/upper decks at most stadiums and leave the lower bowl empty? Maybe put the lowest row at Row 50 or so? Seems like you could get much more than 20% in the stadium and still be safe.

I heard somewhere that they will have a short half time program. But no playing in the stands, only drums can do their thing. So I guess there will be a lot of piped in rap music.
