Why do some of you allow yourself to be so miserable? I’m having as much fun watching this team get better than I have any team since 2016.

It's no shade on Milroe. He played a decent game for his skills. But, I'm not going to act like he's some burgeoning superstar QB at this point.

I'm not going to pretend he's an elite QB either. He can be frustrating at times.

That said, the Texas A&M game was in probably the most hostile environment we will see the rest of the season. That was probably the best defensive front we will see, at least for the rest of the regular season. We could not run the ball effectively. It was on Milroe's shoulders to get the job done with his arm. In this game, he did that. I think he grew and should gain some confidence from how he played.

I'm not miserable at all. Do you see all my fans asking for me to post? I'm giving them some attention. Lighten up.

The word on A&M was their defensive front 7 was elite. They are good. The secondary was always suspect and I told y'all it was. It helps to watch the games of our opponents before we play them.

Well you certainly don’t seem to find any joy in it. Just waiting around for a bubble to burst so you can prove people wrong.

No one is outside of our resident village idiot's imagination. We all just recognize that he's the best we've got.

Literally one real poster has claimed that and he has walked that down.

The rest of us just recognized what it too many of you guys a month to realize; Jalen Milroe is the best we have so we have to make it work.

Irony is he isn't as bad as he is bashed but it's not popular around here to point this out

Listening to the Cubelic Mcelroy show, and an Australian Bama fan just called in to break down the clock management at the end of the game. Caught me off guard, but he knew what he was talking about. Pretty enjoyable to listen to.

Everyone wanted the elite QB back in the day..."could you imagine if we had a Deshaun Watson or Cam Newton? We'd be unbeatable!". Then we got our wish with Tua and couldn't win it all outside of the 2nd half he saved.

Then folks wanted to go back to bully ball but those same folks don't remember what it really looked like. It wasn't pretty.

Everyone can praise T Rob and Steele for our defense but really it comes down to toughness and identity. When your offense is pass happy and score in 3 plays your defense loses toughness in the offseason. That's what they practice against. It's a mindset. This past offseason we dedicated more time to running the ball. Smashmouth football..so that inherently makes your defense tougher too.

Obiously I'm glad Golding is gone and I'm glad to have Steele/Trob but how we practice has more of an impact than play calling imo.

Eboigbe, Reichard Earn SEC Weekly Football Honors

Eboigbe was the league’s Defensive Lineman of the Week while Reichard was named Special Teams Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama's Justin Eboigbe and Will Reichard each earned Southeastern Conference Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday. Eboigbe was named the Defensive Lineman of the Week while Reichard was tabbed the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Oh, so all along you knew Milroe would torch A&M's secondary, hu?

quote:

Some of my fellow Bama fans are already setting the stage to scapegoat the OL for Milroe. The truth is when Milroe has thrown INTs he's done so from a clean pocket. Milroe has made bad decisions when he has been given time to decipher a defense. A&M will load the box and make Milroe prove he can pass the ball. I honestly think this game will determine Milroe's career at Bama. He will either become an effective passer in this game (which is unlikely) and solidify himself as the starter for the rest of the season or he's going to produce consistent 3 and outs which will send him to the bench and he will transfer out after the season.

quote:

I'm Bama to the bone but we won't beat A&M with a QB who only has the deep ball, has until this point shown himself to be turnover prone, and his ability to read defenses is spotty at best.

quote:

I will never understand keeping an inept player as a starter because you don't know what the backup will do. That makes no sense.

Seems like a bit of revisionist history. Everyone knew A&M's secondary was garbage - that wasn't some sort of deep cut you found on the All-22. You just didn't think this QB could take advantage of it, even when others said they thought there was a chance he could.

And now your argument is "well you guys didn't seem to understand that A&M's secondary was bad and Milroe was always gonna have a big day"?

per Kyle Henderson

Will Reichard is Elite

- This season, 12 of 12, 18 of 18 on PATS, total 54 points

- 1-1 from 20, 5 of 5 from 30-39, 5-5 from 40-49, 1-1 from 50 yards out

- 4 punts for 165 yards, an average of 41.3 playing for injured James Burnip

- Has Played in 52 games and has 74 made field goals

- Currently the all-time leading scorer in Alabama school history with 480 points

To think he almost didn’t come back this season is a scary thought

You went to the rant and posted a whole thread where you bitched about him openly…but “no shade” right? Lol

Then when he torched A&M (something you said he wouldn’t do) you tucked tail and hid.

You’re a 43yo black man who shite talks a college kid on the internet, cries about it when ppl disagree with him, and you don’t even have the balls to admit you were wrong.

Enjoy the “conference” though lol

This is awesome. These guys were all I had Saturday. Love the chemistry between them in the booth that you don't usually get to see, especially the look on Tyler Watt's face during the "Bond" joke.
