I feel like Daboll is kind of the forgotten OC for us, but he might have been the best OC in the Saban Bama era, especially considering what he is doing now in the NFL.

Hold up.

I'd put Lane #1 and Sark #2. Daboll was underappreciated but he didn't do a great job of developing Hurts as a passer. He did some good things other than that.

Agree - DaBoll was a good player caller but he was a lot more stubborn thank Sark/Kiff were. I get that he wanted Tua to the be the QB, and was right about it, but he didn't seem to put a ton of effort into making the offense work as well as possible for Jalen's skillset. And Jalen didn't improve one iota.

Also, he had a terrible tendency to just abandon the run game when we were gashing people with it.

True, but I also think he and Saban just didn't get along. He's an NFL playcaller, and was probably pissed that he had to spend all season calling plays for Hurts while Tua was on the sideline. It actually made HIM look bad. Saban's refusal to play Tua was bad for Daboll's career.

After seeing the second half of the NCG, it makes you wonder what could've been with Tua/Daboll for 2018 and 2019 as well.

We'll never know. Daboll was rightfully pissed tf off and left.

Watching a bum, who is kind of a fricking a-hole, like Stetson Bennett get 2 rings while a player and person as special as Bryce was saddled with BooB's garbage playcalling and a Golding defense backing him up just doesn't sit well with me and probably never will.

I have been bitter about this for some time now and have taking a bit of flack because I haven't let thus go.

It's hard to let go when I know we could have had a three-peat

He had been a TEs coach in New England for 3 years, spent one year here, and then got hired as the Bills OC

If he could have gotten an NFL OC job instead of coming Bama, he would have

That's pretty awesome. This is great exposure for Saban and Alabama, and will be great content for us fans as well

In the midst of Colorado’s celebration of the 45-42 win over then-No. 17 TCU, coach Deion Sanders found No. 2 for TCU.

No. 2 is Trey Sanders, a running back who found the end zone three times in the loss, but was slowed by injury in the game. Many certainly remember Trey Sanders from his time under Nick Saban at Alabama before transferring to TCU.

“I walked over to him because he was a kid that wanted to come here,” Deion Sanders said Thursday during The Colorado Coaches Show, per 247 Sports. “The reason I didn’t take him was because he sustained some significant injuries. ...

“But I still had love for the kid because he wanted to play for us. So, I went out there and I said, ‘Son, now you know if you don’t get up, they ain’t got a chance. So, I want you to get your butt up and get back in this game and be dominant like you’ve been.’

“That’s what I told him. I wanted the kid to be dominant. His last name’s Sanders, first of all, and he was the No. 2 on offense. That’s what the conversation was.”

Man, how bizarre is this!? Touchdown Alabama used AI to create a recording of Saban singing Sweet Home Alabama.

I think the talking parts sorta sound like Saban (but maybe not so much the singing). Regardless, really fricking creepy:

I don’t know anything about Pat McAfee. I do know tomorrow Texas is going to need Pat McAfee, Sajak, peppermint patti, a priest, a lawyer, a shortstop, a hall pass, duct tape, JB weld, legal drugs, illegal drugs and a copy of War and Peace. Texas is in trouble.

Some good news for @AlabamaFTBL’s defense. Sources tell ESPN that senior DB/star Malachi Moore is expected to play Saturday against Texas after being injured last week in the opener. Still TBD on safety Jaylen Key.

Jalen Key is no small loss. Dude is a ball hawk. I hope he’s well enough to play.
