Bo got fired for lying to NS. Why would NS hire him back?

Compared with him being 3-4 on balls over 20 yards against us last year.

It's probably not as bad as I'm remembering but it sure seems common the last few years for teams to complete ridiculous bombs on absolute dots and/or crazy catches at a higher frequency than you would expect on us.

I think BooB at least has the one saving grace of recognizing the greatness in Bryce and deciding to let him cook even though his mediocre playcalling resulted in a predictable, imbalanced offense.

BoB's saving grace to me is that in games Bama lost his offenses weren't the cause, but he had a LOT of games that were near losses because his offense couldn't score. It just never bit him in the butt.

I think it actually is as bad as you are remembering. We have consistently made bad QBs look good and average QBs look elite over the last few years. Obviously Golding had a massive role in that though, so hopefully things change this year.

Word on the street is that there are still three Bama LBs running towards Bryant Denny for a delayed blitz Golding called two years ago.

That had absolutely nothing to do with BOB and everything to do with the Heisman NFL level QB we had turning his chicken shite into chicken salad.

Players made errors here and there but that is expected.

The issue is we always looked disjointed. We always looked out of sync. We never ran an offense which had a plan deeper than each play begin called and those plays were generic bullshite which the most basic DC could blanket.

The worst part about Bill O'Brien is when he convinced Saban to hire his buddy ruin ruin our OL in less than 12 months. That set back we're still trying to recover from!

Yep. I sometimes wonder what Bryce could have done with Lane, Sark, or even Daboll as his OC and it makes me kind of sad. Watching a bum, who is kind of a fricking a-hole, like Stetson Bennett get 2 rings while a player and person as special as Bryce was saddled with BooB's garbage playcalling and a Golding defense backing him up just doesn't sit well with me and probably never will.

I feel like Daboll is kind of the forgotten OC for us, but he might have been the best OC in the Saban Bama era, especially considering what he is doing now in the NFL.

His offense with Tua in was an entirely different offense than Jalen, and this isn’t hyperbole. It was quite literally an entirely different playbook. I remember being at the Vandy game and Tua came in for a scoring drive, suddenly we were just slinging it all over the field

That second half of the Georgia game was riddled with so many downfield passing plays that we hadn’t run all year.

Just imagine every successful 2-minute drill Bryce ran over the last couple of seasons where the offense all of a sudden became unstoppable. That's no coincidence. It's because Bryce was calling the plays in a hurry-up no-huddle situation and didn't have to listen to BoB at all. That's what Bryce would have been like under those other OCs.

Tough to say what might've been with Daboll had he been allowed to shift to Tua earlier when Jalen was struggling.

Its why I always have to caveat my pick for top OC (Sark) with the fact that he was working with a level of talent that none of the other guys got to experience.

Kiffin had Blake Sims, Yeldon/Henry and Cooper/White

Sark had Tua/Mac, Harris/Robinson, Smith/Jeudy/Ruggs/Waddle/Metchie

There isnt an NFL team with a better set of offensive talent than Sark had in 2019/2020 IMO especially considering the OL.

His offenses were the cause of both losses last year. Against Tennessee we fell behind by 21 because of his inept play calling and dropped passes. We must also remember the defense scored a touchdown in that game also. All he had to do was run the clock out and let Reinhard win it with a field goal and buttchin threw the ball three straight times.

The LSU game was mostly on his offense also. Bryce threw a pick in the red zone because of BOB’s lack of creativity down there. Our offense never got going and receivers were all in the same area.

not sure why you are being downvoted, but you are pretty spot on. Not sure if Bryce was calling all of the plays himself, but the fact that he was able to run the offense much faster made all the difference.

he had full autonomy to change plays as he saw fit. Sometime Bryce was right, sometime he was wrong. BOB offense allows QB to make adjustments as well WRs.

The coach or compliance department?

Like it or not, the goal is to win. Bo Davis is good at his job, and was before he left.

Also, like it or not, the program has been a car wash-like operation for coaches since 2007.

That's why.

They could also move Moore to Safety, slide Arnold to Star, and play Amos at CB.
