Nawrocki's analysis of Hubbard was included in a list of the top 10 "most controversial prospects in the NFL Draft." The players were chosen because they "could be red-flagged by teams" for "their behavior on and off the field."
The group includes projected top-five picks Johnny Manziel and Jadeveon Clowney as well as other players who, like Hubbard, never were arrested or disciplined for off-the-field problems during their respective college careers.
"Has a quirky personality, inflated opinion of his ability and carries a sense of entitlement that could be difficult to manage and require a patient positional coach," Nawrocki wrote on Hubbard. "Has starter traits, but has yet to reach the impact level he thinks he makes."

Interesting analysis. Thoughts?

I've heard some less than flattering things about a few now former players...
still never heard that about Adrian before.
I know more about the 2006-2008 period. Not going to be nice about it: Bama was a mess during 2006 and Saban walked into an awful mess.

Well he has been called a first round talent since he stepped on campus and played like an undrafted free agent when in a Bama uniform.
But AJ plays great and is the fifth best QB? We know why the same teams are always in the single digits of the 1st round. They don't use their farm system enough, they get measurements not football players. Measurements are important but how they actually plays matters as well.

only think i might disagree with is the 'starter traits' quote ... he has "first round traits", but i'm not sure about nfl "starter traits" ...

Alabama State RB Isaiah Crowell
Beats to the tune of his own drummer. Extremely immature and has a history of off-field issues. Can be difficult to coach.
Article is BS, imo

Very likely true.

From what I have heard first hand from people who would know. That's pretty true.

I don't know him personally nor do I have any "inside info" but that's kind of the vibe I've gotten from him the last couple of years.

And Crow:
Prefer Bama board to be Bama posters, but you are welcome in my book.

I don't know what he's like as a person, but I've often wondered why he was on the field. He just didn't seem to have it, in my opinion.

This analyst is a joke. This guy says these things about pretty much every draft prospect.

Guy has great measurables and will get drafted based on potential, but he seems lazy to me. Takes plays off, seems be sort of a lumbering runner, not really quick enough to be a great pass-rusher. I wouldn't draft the guy, but some schmuck will.

I thought he was a good player for us. Not dominant, but he was was consistent. It seems like he would be better fit as DE in a 4-3.
