Once beaches and other recreation facilities reopened is when we saw a spike in the numbers and why we continue to see it climb.

To many people from the start were done with it. People and businesses here are getting fined so hopefully it will flatten back out.

Load of garbage. People were doing the right thing until the narrative started changing. And a vaccine for this is a pipe dream. Not gonna happen.

Reopening bars and restaurants for inside partying and dining was a mistake.

As MLB, NBA and NFL gets cranked up, things will be easier.
This thing changes every 2 weeks it'll probably look better.

Someone said that UGA sent out letters to their season ticket holders. They don't plan on having any reduced capacity but told them they won't be penalized for not renewing for this season and will be able to continue next year.

They said there will be temp. checks and a mask required, but no reduced capacity.

I don’t think playing college football this fall is workable. I mentioned in a thread a couple of weeks ago that there is a seemingly endless list of issues/questions that will need to be resolved before a season can start:

- What if a state prohibits its state schools from playing?
- What if an entire conference opts to not play?
- If players, coaches, or staff members for a team test positive, is the entire team quarantined for two weeks?
- If teams have to be quarantined, what about the games missed?
- Do we still do bowl games, or just the playoffs?
- What happens if a player or coach dies from coronavirus?

Those are just some of the issues/questions that will need an answer before a season can happen. I know we all have questions and even doubts about the severity of coronavirus, but the decision-makers in college football will likely go based on what they are told by health officials.

I’m hopeful there will be some form of a season. To be honest, I’d actually be excited if we had an SEC only season. 10-12 games plus the SECC. Would be pretty awesome.

The sad thing is if people would just wear a damn mask indoors and actually socially distance, these spikes wouldn’t be happening and the season would be almost certain.

Are we really going to let them do this to us? Are people really willing to go back to early 1800’s life and economy? Come on. We’ve been through pandemics before. We need to get back out to living. If they want to shelter and protect the vulnerable, that’s fine, but we are otherwise getting played hard.

All the off season arguing about whether or not Golding was to really blame for the defense. Now posters might have to wait another year to prove other posters right or wrong

We can get back to life while wearing masks In public indoor spaces and socially distancing. The problem is all the idiots packing into bars and beaches acting like this is a hoax. Congrats, you’re taking sports away from all of us. A few small, simple steps would prevent all of this. Instead, we are going to end up in another lockdown with rates skyrocketing like they are. Enjoy sitting at home with no sports to watch this fall, at least you didn’t have to wear a mask in walmark by gawd, first amendment, mumble mumble, constitution, mumble mumble, ‘Murcia by gawd.

PS- before someone calls be a Lib, I’m very conservative politically. I’m just not a self absorbed idiot.

It was funny and sad listening to our kids at graduation where they were required to wear a mask saying it is all a hoax

That is generic form letter because renewals are down. I got the same type of letter but from someone inside the program at the same school was told they are hopeful if they get to play without fans if they play at all this fall.

Everyone has multiple plans and one of them is very hopeful. But like you said it changes every week or so. I mean last month everything was par to reopen. All colleges were coming out and saying they will back to operating at normal capacity in the fall but now some are already backpedaling on that.

When Nazi Germany was blitzing England, the pubs didn't closed down until the war ended. Life went on. Western Civilization is a far cry from that.

At-risk folks need to take precautions, everybody else need to live their lives as they see fit. If you're an employer that does aws, let your elderly/obese/chimney smokers work from home. One of many of examples on how to operate.
