He was 4 for 9. He has completed 56% of his passes at Alabama

It was his first live game action and it came after the #1 was injured.

Give the kid a break. Not everyone can be Tua Tagovailoa.

I don’t think he can be Tua or Bryce, but he doesn’t have to be.

Just need to see him hitting some slants and crossers to keep the defense honest while they run the Jalen Hurts offense until Bryce is back.

I hated watching Hurts play QB, but I loved watching him win.

Weren't a couple of those drops? Overall though, he's not in the same neighborhood as Bryce with the accuracy.

If Milroe starts next week the plan will look completely different. We basically ran the "end of the game" basic stuff for him because we couldn't practice is.

I dunno what the ceiling is with him but I guarantee we'll run more stuff with easy through and runs and rolls than we did today.

If we keep blocking like we have and add a legitimate 2nd runner to read option stuff (which he obviously is) then he won't have to make the throws Bryce does. The field will be much, much more open.

Meh, not a fan either. Hope he develops his craft but his throwing motion looks funny to me.

I think milroe played well. He led our offense well and didn’t make any mistakes. He will only get better.

That's right, didn't Mac look pretty awful in one of his first games? I don't mean the auburn game.

Mac Jones is probably the guy with the all time highest non-believer to success ratio. Nobody thought he would be a baller and then he became beloved and almost won the heisman.

Mac looked horrid his first year in mop up duty. I vividly remember saying multiple times that he wasn't a Power 5 QB.

Most people had him somewhere between Parker McLeod and Cooper Bateman. Now they call him the baby goat.

The Tennessee game in which Tua first got hurt. Mac didn’t do much of anything. He also didn’t do much when he came in again in the MSU game after Tua’s hip injury. Though Bama was up by a lot anyway.

He did play well against a few teams he started in between those 2 games.

His run completely flipped the game. 3rd and 15 after they cut the lead to 5 after a surprise onsides kick recovery, all the momentum, and Milroe runs for 77 yards to set us up for an easy touchdown. That was the back breaker.

He did. That was his first meaningful playing time. He won’t be Tua, Mack, or Bryce, but he could easily be as good this year as Jalen was as a freshman and sophomore, maybe better if he got the reps.

This posters are overlooking the fact that this was his first meaningful minutes.

I’d like to see him play another game. We look like we’re learning to run - block with him under center.

That’s what this offense needs most: balance

Hope so. For me --MAc Jones was Brandon Avalos .. what a turnaround in one year .. still one in a million kind of probability

Hurt was much better passer as freshman than milroe today
