I don't see this game happening at all. We just need to think big picture. It's playoff or bust, and rather than playing Houdini with the remaining schedule and trying to squeeze this game in, we just need to get on with the more important things. Alabama's schedule still includes the barners and Florida. That's going to finish a resume that's better than anyone else and then it's off to the second season. The best revenge for LSU is taking the title.

The best revenge is beating LSU by 40 plus in their own house.

Well that probably isn't going to happen, so, time to move on.

At this point rather not play them as they only hurt our SOS with the playoff committee. Hell I would rather play Louisiana who is ranked.

I've already transferred all my REC funds for this week's refs to the basketball officials when we play them. We'll beat them in the long run.

This is the kind of forward-thinking that we need more of.

if A&M doesn't miss a game, and since they have only one loss, I think UA vs LSU will be rescheduled to fairly choose the SEC title game participant.

Seriously doubt Bama/LSU happens in basketball.

Covid cases will be out of control after the holidays. Football better get their games in now, basketball will have a month or so worth of games. Baseball will get cancelled outright.

Cecil just tweeted that Orgeron admitted that they’ve been practicing for Arkansas all week because they knew the game this weekend wasn’t going to happen.

Here's what Ogre actually said:

What Nick Saban, Ed Orgeron said about Alabama-LSU postponement (BOL)

So the SEC has either known about this since the middle of last week and didn't adopt a contingency plan or LSU held off on reporting it until it was too late for anything to be done in an effort to avoid playing in a game they knew they would lose by 50. Either way, someone needs to be in deep shite.

unless I missed it there has been nothing to indicate the SEC office knew it for sure. As somebody else posted, earlier in the week Orgeron was posturing as if he was still preparing for Alabama.

In a September interview Orgeron said most of the team had already had the covid LINK

So now enough of the others have contracted the virus to miss this game? It begs the question as to whether they have been so lax as to proper protocols or whether it's all b.s. just to avoid this game. And that's not a Rant troll. This is for real. One or the other. Which is it?

This is a clear case of LSU trying to get out of playing Bama and not getting that beatdown that would probably affect their recruiting.

LSU trys to pull shite like this all the time, remember what they did back in 16.

Refused to cooperate with the SEC with regard to scheduling due to Hurricane Michael, which ultimately netted them an extra home game against Florida for a game that was supposed to be played in Gainesville.

Lane Kiffins take on SEC game postponements/cancellations :

Maybe some teams are using those numbers as a crutch, Kiffin theorizes.

"I guess injuries are counting in those numbers that people can get out of playing," Kiffin said. "I don't know. Maybe some people don't want to play. Maybe their season's not going good. So who knows?"
