You can bet that CBS and ESPN are needing that advertisement money too. A bunch of those people that didn’t want the football season are probably kicking themselves in the arse because they are getting laid off or let go.

If Bama/LSU were moved to a December date, wouldn't be surprised if LSU uses rona excuse to finally cancel game, avoiding live TV, negative recruiting, embarrassing beat down.

Disagree. Bama wants as many games as possible. Volume of games improves our playoff odds and the odds at getting the 1 seed. Not to mention we have a QB in the thick of the heisman race and a receiver trying to break several career SEC records.

Above all else, Coach O and LSU should pay for how badly they showed their asses after the game last year.

You wouldn't expect a coach not to say "We want to play team X".

Number 1 seed is good but if we win out and beat UF I think we’re good.

I'm leaning the same way. LSU unfortunately can do nothing for Bama's SOS this season. Vegas has them as cannon fodder so what comes out of this game is simply payback. Not that that is a bad thing but frankly it has to be worth money to get an early start on game planning Florida and resting while they duke it out with the same LSU.

Greg Byrnes said he's working on the logistics surrounding the problem to reschedule, but right now he's concentrating on Kentucky, whatever that means.

If the SEC has a say in it, Bama will play LSU. One reason is TV money and the 2nd reason is the SEC doesn't want Bama to have a bye before the SEC Championship Game, when Florida has to play that week.

The SEC and Greg Bynes better hurry up and figure it out. If they let this unresolved after this Sunday, the time left will start getting desperate.

It appears the SEC might not announce planned makeup game dates any earlier than necessary, since there's potential for more postponements.

Coleman crowds have been socially distancing for years so not much will change.

Looks like Miss St/Georgia and Arkansas/LSU might get postponed.

Georgia/State would have to be moved to 12/12. With Georgia playing Missouri on 19th and State playing Auburn the same day.

The Arkansas/LSU game would really screw things up and at least one SEC game would probably get cancelled. Got to think that the SEC wants divisional games to take place and Florida/LSU gets cancelled.

The only way to make sure all games get played is to have Bama/LSU play this weekend and move Bama/Kentucky to 12/12. That would move the LSU/Arkansas game to 12/19, but I think it's to late for that to happen.

LSU/Ole Miss this weekend could also save a game from being cancelled.

However, with Bama and LSU both having spent a week plus preparing to play each other last week, it would be way easier to have Bama/LSU play each other.

Still unlikely to happen unless the SEC is determined to prevent any games from being cancelled.

As of today, the LSU-AR and MS-GA games are still on. Also, Monday was the deadline for moving any future weekend's games to this coming weekend.

ETA, 11/19: "After the last set of testing came in this week the Hogs were thin, but they had not fallen below the threshold of 53 scholarship players available or below any of the cut lines mandated by position by the SEC. Arkansas tested players again today, and will receive results Friday morning. That will likely be the determining factor for Saturday."

ETA, 11/19: "...the Bulldogs currently have 54-55 players available for this weekend and the final round of weekly COVID-19 testing is later today..."

ETA, 11/20: "Talked to (MSU) sources again this morning and the game is still on. But as noted yesterday, they are going to be short-handed and saying that is an understatement. I was told that MSU is now without the sam LBs (Wheat, Davis) and another WR (Heath)." -- 247-MSU's Paul Jones

Mississippi State will be playing with less than 53 scholarship players available.

Sources: Mississippi State will have additional players unavailable for its game against Georgia following its latest round of COVID testing but the game is still on and set to be played. Sounds like Mississippi State is getting ready to head to the airport.

I think the SEC office is coming to the stark realization that they are running out of options and will have to concentrate on making sure that games involving contenders take precedence over other games. Teams like LSU and Vandy may have games canceled to accommodate games involving Bama, Florida, A&M, and Georgia. That’s where we are now.

I wonder if it got to the point of too many postponements, would 2 teams elect to play their game with each other, instead of going to a bowl.
IOW, say, ole Miss and LSU can't schedule their game, would they just want to play each other, instead of a bowl game (if applicable)?

so will the Alabama vs LSU game be rescheduled? A few LSU fans on the Rant say it will be played but otherwise I haven't seen confirmation of that. Has there been any recent news from the SEC office about rescheduling?

. And give away the money of a bowl game? Especially with limited crowd capacities? I doubt it.
