Will Ronnie Clark be committing this week? Heard he delayed it from last week to visit Auburn one more time.

What the hell is wrong with these guys? What is so interesting about programs stuck in their 7-5/8-4 ruts? Why would anyone go play for Malzahn or Muschamp and walk away from a Bama offer?

I can understand defense players wanting to play for Muschamp. Their defenses are consistently salty.
Aubie offers more opportunity for immediate playing time, and maybe even an early starting job.
D1 recruits are used to being the shite when they are in high school. It comes from being the best on their teams and all of the fanfare that comes with that. Some of them can't fathom waiting their turn.

Maybe because they feel they have a better chance of immediate playing time?
While rings are nice, would you rather ride pine for 4 years and be on a great team or play for a mediocre team and possibly be a stand-out?

But playing for Muschamp is second rate Saban. He hasn't done anything with the talent but take away from our Defenses. Hargreaves and Hand among others should have been Bama locks.

People pick colleges for all sorts of reasons, not the team that's been winning recently.

I know that Crow, but its a consistent issue losing elite defenders to Muschamp especially.

If you always fixate on recruits we don't get rather than the ones we do get, then you are destined to always be miserable. It's a very negative outlook.

Still don't have computer access up here and won't until Thursday, but BOL is gonna have a Recruiting War Room tomorrow morning.

true Sarc, but again what is making these guys pick Muschamp the crappy xerox Version of Saban's D over ours? And how do we fix it?
Posted on 9/17/13 at 10:01 pm to Libertyabides71
There's not 1 reason. Each prospect is a unique person with different tastes, values, and priorities and they're not die hard Bama fans like we are. UF Is a great school with a great football program. I don't know what else to tell you.

He is putting them in the draft and a lot of them are from Florida. Not every kid wants to play here.

BOL War Room Summary
***Staff wants 2-3 more safeties for this class. Some believe that Bama leads for Hootie Jones. Bama in good shape for CJ Hampton, but Mississippi is hard to pull from. Nobody knows where the hell Ronnie Clark is leaning.
***UA wants one more wide receiver. Looking hard at Davion Hall and Johnnie Dixon. Bama is in good shape with Hall, but will have to fight hard with Miami to pull Dixon.
***Bama wants one more RB, and is looking at Fournette and Roc Thomas. Bama has been gaining ground with Fournette, but this is a fight that LSU cannot afford to lose. LSU may have a SLIGHT edge at the moment. Bama hasn't given up on Thomas, either, but he remains committed to Auburn.
***It will be a HUGE shock if Marlon Humphrey doesn't commit to Bama.
***UGA is trending with Lorenzo Carter.
***No names *coughBoScarbroughcough* but some of our commits are on shaky academic ground.
***2015 class could be even better than this year's class.
***Bama has a chance with top OK prospect Jalin Barnett who is a 5 star guard.
***Daron Payne is one of our top targets and will be fighting Auburn, among others for him. Payne grew up an Auburn fan.
***Michigan leads for Da'Shawn Hand, who will visit for the Tennessee game. One of Hand's teammates, 2015 5 star DT Tim Settle has also shown interest in Bama.
***2014 five star DE Myles Garrett has named A&M his leader, but has shown interest in Bama. Tough pull and Bama is behind, but BOL points to A'Shawn Robinson's recruitment as an example of how Bama might recruit Garrett.
***Nobody knows where the hell Tony Brown is going. His sister is at LSU, but his parents are heavily involved in his recruitment process and show every indication of being more educated and involved in the process than April Justin--in a good way.
***OSU leads for Raekwon McMillan, but is visiting Bama for the LSU game. His visit will be a make-or-break scenario for Bama in his recruitment.
***Elam is a coin flip with Kentucky.
***Bo Scarbrough remains committed to Bama, but is visiting Florida this weekend for their game against Tennessee.
***Christian Miller is The Truth.
***Stephen Roberts is as good as gone. He's supposed to come to Tuscaloosa this weekend. If he doesn't show, then put him in Auburn's column.
***Tennessee is still in a good position for Charles Mosley, but Bama is still after him.

Bama should just go ahead and cut ties with this kid and start looking at other targets.

Not if we really want him in the class. Things could swap back in Bama's favor just as quickly as they did to Auburn

Woodbridge (Va.) defensive end Da'Shawn Hand, the top-rated prospect in the nation according to Rivals.com, has shuffled his planned visit dates and, as a result, won't be in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's Nov. 9 showdown against LSU.
Hand (6-4, 254) was forced to change his plans in order to take the SAT on Oct. 5, according to a report at Rivals.com. He had planned to visit Florida that day for its game against Arkansas. Instead, he'll go to Florida on Nov. 9 for the Vanderbilt game and visit Tuscaloosa on Oct. 26, when Alabama plays Tennessee.

Hoping his enthusiasm will help us to land Hootie.
So if/when Roberts flips, who do you think we go after?
I know Tony Brown is a long shot.
Who else are we targeting?
Posted on 9/18/13 at 10:27 am to chattabama
Tabor, Brown, and Lattimore are the 3 CBs mentioned most but we're fighting in-state schools among others for all 3. Hopefully we can land 1 to go along with K-Bess and Marlon
