After RN i'm a paranoid recruitnik, I don't say lock anymore because I fear a recruit will read my post and say "I'll show this guy"

quote:Bessent is a stud. For most teams' classes, he'd be the best CB in their class. Add Humphrey and there's some serious potential. Hopefully Stephen Roberts will realize that and flip
However, Kalvaraz Bessent is no one to sleep on
BTW idk if it was posted, but Roberts visited Auburn again today. Just relaying news

BOL Recruiting War Room just released.
***Bama still heavily in the mix for L. Carter and D. Hand. UF and UM are the two primary schools Bama is going up against for Carter and Hand, respectively.
***Ross Piersbacher was supposed to decide in Bama's favor last Friday, but Iowa convinced him to sleep on it. The longer he stays committed to Iowa, the more likely his commitment is to stick.
***Ermon Lane is expected to sign with UF.
***LSU made up some ground with C. Rob, but Bama is still the team to beat. Likes the chance of early PT with C. Kouandjio likely to leave for the NFL.
***Bama has made a strong impression on Johnnie Dixon, and it is expected to be a battle with Miami for his committment.
***Raekwon McMillan still has a top two of OSU and Bama. Sources indicate he may be leaning towards staying in the South to be near family.
***Ronnie Clark still hopes to decide in August and is trying to arrange a visit to Bama. Tight race with AU.
***Matt Elam is being pressured to stay in-state for his college even though he feels he's a better fit in Bama's 3-4. Notre Dame is trying to nose in on Elam but is currently not a threat.
***Texas A&M things they will flip Zach Whitley, but both Whitley and Shaun Hamilton are saying the "right things" to indicate that they are firm in their commitments.
***Davion Hall loved his trip, and the key to getting him to clip will be to get his family on-campus for a visit this fall.
***Kirby was instrumental in landing Christian Miller, and some NFL scouts believe that Miller has a huge upside.
***Bama is hoping that Town's commitment will start a ripple effect of increased interest from the West Coast.
***Cristobal has been a large part of the reason that Bama has been able to snag Daron Payne's interest away from AU.
***Bama's 2015 class could be the best ever under Saban.
***Keith Holcombe has drawn comparisons to Vinnie Sunseri and Brad Smelley. The staff likes his measurables.
***Bama hopes to get Charles Mosley back on campus to erase some of the good vibes he's feeling towards UT.
***Bo Scarbrough still maintains that he is firmly committed to bama.
***Bama still expects to land Marlon Humphrey.
***Leonard Fournette looking to take all five of his officials out of the state of LA is looked to be a positive for Bama's chances.
***Bama continues to trend with C.J. Hampton.
***Hootie Jones is visiting this weekend.
***Bama made positive strides with Jalen Tabor during his camp time in July. His parent's like Bama, but the Terps seem to be the current favorite of Tabor.

Premium info has to be paraphrased, can't copy and paste. Please redo.

I did paraphrase...
All of that was a paraphrase retyped by myself.
I'm not redoing it.

My bad. The way it was done, made it look like it was copied and pasted.

No worries. I did steal their use of *** as bullet points.

In what seems to be a repeat of a couple years ago, the LSU weekend will have a major impact on this class, even with so few spots available.
Just look at the list of cats taking officials that weekend... not to mention the guys that will be there unofficially.

This is what the national 247 writer had to say about Bessent:
quote:
Bessent was an early commitment, early evaluation, hasn't gone to any camps. I was half expecting to turn his film on and be disappointed just because when you rank a guy without seeing a lot of his competition, it's easy to overrank. Not the case IMO with Bessent.
He's not a guy that has a ton of stats. He comes from a program where there are 10 different standouts but I loved his film when i got reaquainted with it.
Smooth athlete, great hips in coverage, shows fantastic ball skills. I've also seen him in person (called his game against Norcross last year for TV) and he looks like a Saban corner. Wiry but good size.
Bessent and Christian Miller are my two favorite Bama commits.

Just got ahead and give us the next 5-6 titles and maybe Saban will retire and give some other team a chance.

I saw this:
UofA Recruiting ?@UofARecruitniks 48m
DeShawn Hand and Lorenzo Carter are entertaining playing together at Alabama #Bama #OHMIGAAR
And Zo said in a recent AJC interview that he'd really like to play with RaeKwon but only mentioned UF and UGA as if we're not in it for Kwon, so who knows?

Turn it to ESPN quick. About to have a segment about Bama's chances of the 3-peat.

They should be interviewing Saban today as well. They were in Columbia with the bus tour yesterday, and said they were headed to Ttown for their next stop.

Who do we have at nose besides ivory and lake? You would think with paige gone guys like elam and mosely would be knocking down the door. Playing time early is not usual in our dline if you are not a beast coming ready to play out of juco

Love and Ball had been practicing in the middle so far behind Ivory and Lake.
Mosley doesn't want to play NG, he wants to play End. Most project him as an OL regardless. Elisha Shaw has been bunched in with other NG prospects, but he doesn't seem to be a big priority. Plus he's a little banged up, he's coming off a knee injury and he jammed his neck bad enough to have to wear a brace recently.
I still think Bama is in a good enough position for Elam. Season hasn't started yet, which has been known to sway recruits in the past...

I visited Auburn today as well but that by no means should suggest that I am going to flip.
