Occasionally. But you wouldn't know it from highschool. They're usually the under the radar guys. Derek Sherrod. No one was going to think he was a future 1st round pick out of Caledonia.

Losing Bo Davis probably hurt us in trying to recruit the state of Mississippi, but it is strange how those kids want to stay home and play for Ole Miss or State, when neither have been consistent programs in 50 years.

Hopefully the OP got the boot as well. He's like a dumb version of NBamaAlum. So, I guess he is like the UT version of NBamaAlum.

Not strange at all, both schools have arguably the 2 dirtiest groups of boosters and constantly battle each other

Recruiting in the state of Miss is an absolute business and is straight up 110% nasty year in and year out

You remember my story about a friend who is a Miss St alum (played DB for Sherrill) who told me this time last year RN would be going to Ole Miss and I thought he was bullshitting, now I listen to what he says

I watched the 30 for 30 on Marcus Dupree last night and how Southern Miss nearly got him. And was still after him, as he was playing at Oklahoma (shady "preacher" who was a family friend).

Damien Mama is apparently putting on a pancake fest today, including a "beasting" against Andrew Brown.

Viane Talamaivao is getting some love as well, along with his cousin Kammy Delp...

I would really love to get Damien Mama, but I just get the feeling he's staying in the Pac-12. I figure Roderick Taylor goes to Ole Miss. I'm not sure who is next, if we take another OG. Does Jordan Sims still make it in this class? What about Josh Casher as a guard?

USC has long been his dream offer, but he hasn't jumped on it yet. Hopefully travelling to T-Town with 2 pro Bama prospects for the LSU game will give more of a tell. I don't think he leaves the West Coast either as of now.

Montel McBride is supposedly high on the board, and the belief is Casher is a Guard prospect to Bama. Some Auburn sites have pointed to his lack of height not being a fit to Bama's prototype equating to just wanting him to get to Tre Williams(reaching). Then Jordan Sims still has another shot this month to prove himself, as he's working off weight and adding muscle with bamapower(trains/trained a lot of instate guys like Marcell Dareus, Ardarius Stewart, Bradley Bozeman, etc.).

And Bone has posted that Cristobal is trying to get 8 OL, though it's just his wants as of now and not a guarantee. I've thought 7 at most, 8 sounds crazy big.
