I'm going to be in Starkville all day tomorrow watching a little league all-star tournament.
For the love of God if I'm going to be in that heat ALL day, please let us get a QB commitment to make it easier.

Me too, but I'll be inside watching netflix. Oh the humanity! Please let a qb commit to save me from survivor man!

I know they said Saban would let them know the 15th, but do you guys expect a commitment that day?

Then or very soon after. My assumption is we offere conditional on them accepting immediately. If they don't then we go after option b

That is a very well done blog for a recruiting perspective. It is better than some recruiting sites.

Matt Elam quotes:
quote:
"I have a top five," he said. "They are Kentucky, Alabama, Louisville, Ohio State and now Notre Dame,"
quote:
Alabama - "Alabama, national champions. They contend every year for one. Coach Nick Saban is a great coach. I think a lot of people value his opinion. I think it's a better chance for me to get where I want to go, which is the NFL after college. I think it would open up a lot of doors for me and would be a great opportunity."
quote:
"Coach (Lance) Thompson at Alabama and Coach (Kenny) Carter at Louisville are two I would say are probably my best relationships. Coach Brumbaugh at Kentucky too. He's the main defensive line coach I have a relationship with," he said.
quote:
I'm used to playing against the competition in Kentucky, which people say isn't up to par. Well, I went to Alabama camp and went up against the best competition. I still dominated, and I think that opened up a lot of eyes. I just used my size, strength and quickness to dominate. I also learned some technique," he said.

Top offensive tackle prospect Cameron Robinson (Monroe, La./West Monroe) is one of a trio of prospects from the Pelican State in the 2014 class that is an LSU-Alabama grudge match. In speaking with a source very close to the 6-foot-6, 325-pounder’s recruitment last weekend, the news out of the ten-minute conversation was Robinson leaning to Alabama to the tune of 80-85 percent.
Does that mean the five-star tackle will sill sign with the Crimson Tide? Quite possibly, but the source also spoke to the fact that had Robinson stayed at Ouachita Parish, he would already be committed to Alabama. With that said, now being at West Monroe for nearly a year and the fact that a family member very close prefers LSU, and it’s still a battle with LSU facing an one of the uphill variety. The source left zero doubt, however, that Robinson wants to end up at Alabama.

The next domino in the 2014 quarterback class to fall will likely be Top247 prospect Jacob Park (Goose Creek, SC/Stratford). The 6-foot-3, 199-pound pre-style signal caller with terrific feet and agility will decide between Georgia and Alabama with Virginia Tech still fighting. Georgia has made it clear to Park that he is the only quarterback in the 2014 class with an offer from the Bulldogs, and will be until he makes his decision. Alabama remains in a holding pattern with five-star David Cornwell (Norman, Okla./North) and Park believed to be the top two under consideration for a committable offer. While Park has a strong liking for the Georgia offense and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, the allure of playing for Nick Saban at Alabama is definitely present and accounted for in the decision making process. Park could decide any day now – as in the next 24-72 hours.

- Class of 2015 five-star signal caller Ricky Town (Ventura, Calif./St. Bonaventure) continues to be a hot topic of recruiting discussion with the trips to Alabama, Texas and now Georgia in the last couple of weeks. The 6-foot-3, 198-pounder is thought to be leaning to Alabama by some, but the Texas Longhorns definitely made an impression this week due in large part to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Major Applewhite. With that said, the current visit to Georgia is the one the Town family has been most excited about this summer. There is a feeling of ideal scheme fit with the Bulldogs. While we don’t want to say for fact the West Coast schools are out of the picture, there is a growing thought that Town will ultimately head east for college.

Robinson will piss them off, but we need to get him and 2 of Fournette, Brown, and Jones to really send them into hardcore meltdown mode.

Awesome info thanks
It's kinda weird that Alabama is in contention with some many top QBs. Especially one from Cali.

not recruiting related but heard other day that someone saw a post about a back up OL that may be suspended for a year. Anyone hear this? Wherever my friend saw this says a lot of info from this site turn out to be spot on

Supposedly the leadership council has met about said OL but IDK what brought it about or what they decided

I think if Fournette went to A&M and we got Cam and Brown, the rant would be golden.

quote:frick yeah. Offensive tackle seems to be the one position we don't recruit lights out at, even though we pull a legit tackle like Cyrus or Fluker every couple of years.
