If he and Mo Smith can learn quickly, I think they may both see a bit of PT.

Pat Hill to coach the O-line.

Thoughts on this recruiting wise?

How does everyone feel about our chances with jabril peppers?

He has a top 5 in no order of bama, Michigan, Ohio st, ND, and Stanford. Landing him and Humphrey in the same class would be ridiculous, and I'm sure that will be a pitch to both of them. Any idea if he has any visits set up to make it down south?

That would be amazing if we could land both guys. Add Laurence Jones and Nick Watkins to the equation and that makes a pretty strong DB class

He stated today that Stanford and Ohio State are tied for 1st, then it's Michigan, then it's Notre Dame and us. He's closest to the Ohio State coaches and really likes Stanford's academics. There's still time to make up ground but he's probably a long shot.

Well, I know those folks over at Lauderdale lakes and ?Eddie Jackson's talented but please remember he has only played cornerback 6 games in his lifetime. They had a guy get injured and asked Eddie to play both ways, he's a more natural receiver so he is as raw as they come but he's a freak player. sana plays guys who make the least mistakes, not the guys who are the best athletes so this could keep Eddie off the field for a bit.

Pat Hill is an AWESOME hire! He was a recruiting coordinator 5 yrs at Utah then UNLV bit it was a Kong time ago in the late 70's to early 80's but he ALWAYS had a major hand in recruiting at Fresn. Hes been at Atlanta only a yr

PHENOMENAL hire IMHO

He managed to also recruit 2 top 10 QBs at Fresno State and constantly had them in the top 25 until the school slashed his budget.

I like his attitude, he's as competitive a coach as you'll find. I used to love the "we'll play anyone, anywhere, anytime" motto he used to throw out there to the media when he was at Fresno and he meant it too. He does a good job at getting his guys to buy in.....does he still have the stache? Can't go wrong with an OL coach who looks like one of the hells angels.

BOL nuggets posted. I don't have access but I'm going to guess about a couple of the teasers:

quote:

One top target who was planning on signing with the Tide leading up to NSD

Conner?

quote:

Four top defensive prospects who the Tide opted to pass on

Thomas, Bell, Poggi, Reed?

That's freaking retarded. All 4 of those guys are incredible. Wishing we had taken Bell or Fisher right about now but no one can see the future.

Im not so sure how accurate that really is. Other then Bell, I think all those kids chose to go elsewhere. Seems like sunshine pumping to me.

We did cool on Bell, but i know 100% that Thomas was NOT passed over that is one of the worst statements made this year about recruiting.

the Artie Burns comments were also BS.....he used the Bama commit to gain recognition, that is a fact not speculation, those morons are grasping at straws.

The Tim Williams situation was also very tricky and nothing similar to what "SOME" people are saying. Coach Burns was on Tim for years and he wanted to commit but Saban wanted him to wait, that didn't sit well with those involved. When F$U pushed for coach Burns, right after we countered the offer, Williams committed.....I think that is all I need to say about that situation without going further.
