Does anyone know when our next Junior Day takes place?
Posted on 2/12/13 at 4:29 pm to TideSaint
29th I believe.
And David Cornwell pretty much admitted in an article today Bama and UCLA are his top 2. He just got back from a very enjoyable visit there. He liked the atmosphere and Mazzone is selling him on all the QBs he's coached.

Does Saban Take two QB in 2014?
Posted on 2/12/13 at 4:48 pm to Alabamya
Yes and no.
EJ Moss might get a shot at QB, but under the full understanding to him and every other recruit he's likely gonna move positions.

Yea that is why I was asking .I thought he would be the QB take . Read that is the only postion he is open to .

Moss likes defense too, he just wants his shot at playing QB. He's said he's open to H-Back/TE as well. Saban and Smart want him on D, and his uncle thinks that's where he ultimately belongs. He plays ILB, OLB, and DE for Ashville, and it very good in varying quantities.
But if it comes down between Moss wanting to play QB and David Cornwell not wanting to be in a 2 QB class(he has all but said it), well later Moss
1 should be enough regardless, go for the best before settling...

Guess I read wrong. I like Moss though Would make a kick arse TE with saome weight.

I like Moss at the Sam LB spot.

Former FSU commit and brand new Kentucky commit 4* DE Denzel Ware transferred to Opp High School in Opp, Alabama.

Interdasting....
I wouldn't mind flipping him if we miss on some of our other targets at the DE/OLB spots.

If Kentucky takes his brother, a '13 recruit of baseball and football, I can't see him going anywhere else.
If he enrolls somewhere in Alabama, then I'd say there's a shot...

Mag, where is that Cornwell article? If premium, will you post the quote where he says we are in his top 2 with UCLA?
Posted on 2/12/13 at 6:51 pm to TideSaint
quote:
"That's one of my top two, maybe top three. Right now it's in the top two … It was great to see that I'm a legit prospect for them and a legit recruit and we can move on from there with them on my top."

"Alabama, UCLA for sure and I just had Michigan on there but since they got their commit, I'm scratching them off until further notice.

I'll take those odds.

BOL's In-State Baker's Dozen for 2014:
1. Marlon Humphrey
2. Tre Williams
3. Ronnie Clark
4. Stephen Roberts
5. Racean Thomas
6. Bo Scarbrough
7. Justin Thornton
8. Denzel Ware
9. Jordan Sims
10. Rashaan Evans
11. Shaun Hamilton
12. Joshua Casher
13. Kendrick Doss
I don't necessarily agree with their rankings, but I could see us landing 9 out of 13. Thoughts?

Bo at 6. Wow.
I'm not sure he wants to be the only QB in the class, but he definitely wants to be "the guy".

HELL NO......they are the worst at guessing....I mean evaluating players.
I guarantee Humphrey should be tops but in a close second is Roc Thomas fighting it out with tre ...Bo is also ahead of Clark IMO.........
Posted on 2/12/13 at 9:51 pm to Tider-in-Florida
Was thinking Ronnie Clark is way too high also and Roc should be #2 Tre and Bo tied at #3 Shaun Hamilton should be higher
Posted on 2/12/13 at 10:03 pm to BuccWildBammer
Evans is better than SDH IMO, both are projected as stand up LBs in college.
Hamilton is supposedly pretty short. They've told him and TJ Posey that they'll offer when they get taller, which I'm not sure is gonna happen.
Must suck when a coach tells you that

How short is he? Because Reuben is probably 6'1" if you are rounding up.
