Did anyone predict the rise of Amari Cooper?
Tider-in-Florida was raving about Cooper before he arrived on campus. Said he was better than Dorial Green-Beckham. I respect his opinion on recruits but honestly thought he'd fallen and bumped his ahead.

Gladly, I was wrong and Tider-in-Florida was right about Cooper.

Went to several games of his in high school and watched a few practices and workouts and he was the best pure receiver i'd seen at that age since I had gotten into training and working with different athletes.
according to Charles Davis of espn, the biggest Lacy hater on this planet, He will be Franklin's backup. :doublebird:
Watched that bullshat nfl network mock they did with the guest panel and it was horrendous. If the draft actually fell like those idiots selected, it would be the worst draft in years. That female guest picked Xavier Rhodes as her first corner off the board, then ignorant michael irvin goes and gives Dallas, who has a TERRIBLE OL safety Eric Reid when Fluker is on the board...........and it went on and on.

Kenny Bell redefines GUMP
Too grammatically accurate. I believe Kenny's Twitter account was hacked.

To be accurately accurate, Kenny got that G.U.M.P. from Coop, who in turn heard it from someone he played high school with......but who's keeping score.

this bastard on espn, the guy who is on paht to the draft who's always on the extra camera monitor, he's a huge Lacy hater been saying for over a month that Ball is the best pick and Franklin is #2 in this draft...................
yep.........it's the end of the world for some fans so might as well have it's own. We've got 8 scholarship RB's and some posters on other boards are acting like this is a catastrophe.
This was posted earlier in the scrimmage thread........FWIW
just confirmed Morris is out of the walking boot and will be taped up and practicing with the team today. He met with trainers this AM and was cleared. He had a sprained foot in the scrimmage,.

Henry had surgery on his leg, fracture

I think Allen on defense. He's a physical specimen and is gonna tear up OL and QBs.

agree, Allen stayed very low key and didn't get the hype and do all the camps but that kid is a freak and has all the qualities of a gamechanger on defense. He is elite and I don't throw that word around like most folks do.
I didn't take the time to read through the post, so I apologize for the assumption. post edited.

Kamara was not an early enrollee, so you won't see any of him.

Derrick Henry with an ankle (Tibia just above the ankle actually) injury, out for Spring............Tyren and Kamara will see the field this season, just watch. Geno wasn't an early enrolee, that isn't what dictates whether a guy plays, Drake didn't come in early either.

Who will be the biggest impact freshman?
quote:
He has a bad habit of trying to bounce to the outside instead of trusting that the hole will open up which they are trying to break him of and he's also stopping and changing directions in the backfield if things look clogged up, which you can not do in this league unless you have exceptional shiftiness

Exactly how I felt about his junior film. Fortunately, those things are correctable. Just need to drill in his head that he's a power back (with great straight line speed) not a scat back.

YEAH, THAT'LL COME WITH REPS, REPS AND MORE REPS. He's been bigger, faster stronger than his competition for many years, it isn't gonna happen fast but he'll learn a Ton from watching Fowler IMO
Henry would be towards the bottom actually. He's not a natural pass catcher and his blocking has a ways to go. He has a bad habit of trying to bounce to the outside instead of trusting that the hole will open up which they are trying to break him of and he's also stopping and changing directions in the backfield if things look clogged up, which you can not do in this league unless you have exceptional shiftiness. He's not going to be as far ahead of the other RB's as you would expect except for the playbook and feel of actually being out there...............before anyone gets defensive, I'm just sharing info from those around and inside the program, not my opinion and am by no means degrading his skills, just being honest about where he's at.

It may be difficult to believe but I'll go this way.

1) OJ
2) Falkins
3) Allen
4) Henry/Jones/Kamara
5) Stewart if he gets a chance to return kicks. If not I'll go with Maurice Smith
I have already been boycotting the guy i guess.... never heard of him before
I have been told by staff Tyren had the highest grade of any back they evaluated in this class. there is only so high a player can be graded using Saban's system and others have graded out as high as they can go at their position by our staff but Jones was the only one in this class they had top marks on at every area of evaluation........doesn't mean he's better than anyone so no need to start arguing, just passing it along.

Will freshman Ashawn Robinson impact at NG this year?
What have you seen that causes you to not be sold on Lake? He looks the part, thats for sure.

staff saying he was the best NG they evaluated in terms of upside when he camped at Bama and telling me he has NFL potential is enough for me.
one of the more pathetic, inaccurate recruiting tactics i've ever heard of in my life here...............it's laughable to think Pruitt had anything to do with our LB's or even our corners, that is Smart and Saban there, not Pruitt by any stretch.
I expect the same thing to play out with Ardaruis Stewart. I believe he can be an NFL DB or a "good" receiver................
