Agreed, Shack has had a good year but not a great year. I do expect him to have a better year next year. If he gets a little stronger going to the rim and develops a little more court IQ, he will be really good.

I’ve been as hard on Shack as anyone this year but am I crazy for thinking Shack should be getting more consideration for SEC POTY?

I'm one of the biggest Shack fans there is and yes you're crazy. I do think Shack is our 2nd MVP as far as on the court play behind Herb.

Wouldn't surprise me at all for Shack to get SEC POTY before he leaves.

In shocking news, Herb won the hard hat tonight.

Speaking of Shack I have never seen someone get less foul calls, he gets absolutely destroyed a few times a game going in for lay ups it seems like and a foul hardly ever gets called. He gets back up every time and runs up the court, his toughness is really under appreciated.

It’s because he is falling away a lot of times when he shoots layups. Our whole team falls away on layups for the most part and that’s why we don’t get as many calls as we should.

Looking for the broom emoji....

No. 8 Alabama Basketball Completes Season Sweep of Auburn, 70-58

Jaden Shackelford led the Crimson Tide with 23 points and two steals to earn Alabama's 20th win of the season

It's the first sweep of Auburn since the 2014-2015 season and first 20-win season in 10 years for Alabama.

BamaCentral Courtside: No. 8 Alabama 70, Auburn 58

The Crimson Tide defeated its in-state rival in the Tigers and cut down the nets as SEC regular-season champions in the same night

It was a night that won't be forgotten in quite some time in Coleman Coliseum.

Not only did Alabama basketball defeat its arch-rival Auburn 70-58 — the first time that the Crimson Tide has swept the Tigers since 2015 — but it also cut down the nets following the game in celebration of its 2020-2021 SEC regular-season title.

Josh Primo needs to find his talent again because he’s giving us nothing. Thankfully Shack was able to find his stroke a little bit tonight. Hopefully something clicks Saturday and we get this thing rolling again.

But I think that is what is good about this team. One guy may go in the tank for a while but we have so many others that can step up and take over. When and if we ever have them all clicking (LSU in Baton Rouge this year) it is glorius! Final 4 or bust baby!

KAH and Gary and Ellis may get significant minutes but their 4.9 PPG or less average isn’t going to scare anyone into defending them closely.

I disagree on Ellis completely. I HOPE teams do not defend him closely as he will light their arse up from three. KAH rarely even plays. I would agree on Gary - I love his hustle and toughness, especially around the rim but he should never take a three.

I agree to a point but I truly believe it's because he looks so out of control almost every time that they don't want to call an offensive foul so they just let any contact go.

We need to start benching some guys for lazy arse passes.

Quoting myself for the first time - glad my advice wasn't taken tonight as Shack had a least one if not two of these lazy arse passes but he saved us tonight with his 3 point shooting. Would have been hard to do from the bench. Glad to see him find his stroke.

So, if the higher seeds all prevail, Bama's road to the SEC tournament title would be Kentucky, LSU, then Arkansas.

So right now, Bama will play winner of Kentucky/Miss St.

Has there ever been a year where we fail to meet Kentucky in the Tournament?
It seems they always end our dreams there. But this year it would be fabulous to beat them three times in one year; a little long awaited Payback.

not to be a debbie downer but we only scored 70 last night after AU turned it over 23 times. This would be akin to our FB team only scoring 24 points after a team turned it over 4 times.

a realist and not a sunshine pumper. I thought after how awful AU played in the first half with the TO's and the fouls we would be at 50. Nope, just 37. Even an espn talking head said we are not a good offensive team but a great defensive team. What concerns me with this team is when we run into a very good defensive team like an Ark. Even MSU held us down and if they had had any offensive weapons that could have been an L. AU's best player did not play last night. This game could have been an L had he played. Am I happy for an SEC title? Yes.
