I'm happy he is doing well but I miss him on the SEC Network, he is hilarious.

Jaylen Forbes scored 37 points on 9 of 15 shooting (7 of 10 from 3-point range). Most in regulation for Wave player since Jerald Honeycutt had 38 vs. Xavier in 1997.

Didn’t realize he was having such a year. 16.1 ppg and shooting 36% from 3pt on high volume. He only shot 21% for us last year.

I had no idea that he was doing this well. Always liked he and Alan Ogg (rip)

So what’s everyone’s feeling on tonight? I’m thinking after the other night we come out with a chip on our shoulder and completely blow their doors off.

If we make open shots, we win by double digits.

If we have another poor shooting day, we are in another fight to the end.

Agree, and it would help if Molinar and Stewart don't go 8/8 and 7/7 perfect from free throw line as they did in the first game, but our luck we likely have Pat Adams and Doug Shows today. Herb has to stay in the game, and Petty has to get his head straight. Will help this time to have Bruner back plus Gary playing well and I hope more than 6 minutes as in last game vs State.

Better chance for me to win Powerball than for Shows to be on this game. Haha!

Mississippi State is a hard team to get a read on. They've blown out the same South Carolina team that we struggled with twice. They got blown out by Vandy. They beat an Ole Miss team that had been playing well. They gave us fits and kind of laid the blue print on slowing down our offense, so I have no idea how tonight will go. Having Bruner should help, and I keep thinking we have to get out of shooting slump at some point, but never do.

Bonus Bracketology Stat of the day: Alabama and Gonzaga are the only non-Big 12 or Big Ten teams with 6 or more quadrant one wins.

Honestly we have had a good shooting day in a while.

We seem to always start cold, then warm up or just stay cold and struggle.

In the end if we can make layups at the end of games we're 21-3 and easily a #1 seed.

State definitely has some players with ability (Stewart looked like a borderline future pro against us), but some of their performances are sort of head-scratching (putting up 45 versus Arkansas, getting waxed 72-51 by Vanderbilt, etc.).

I sort of expect them to play well today though, and it will probably be a tight game.

We scored 115 points 2 games ago. But, other than that game, we have not shot the ball well (or even average) in a while. And we've gotten good looks the last 3-4 games.
