I would've gotten ejected tonight if I was the coach. I wish Oats would have.

I would be pretty surprised if we don’t go into Saturday playing with a major chip on our shoulder. I’m not saying that will translate into a beat down, but I think the attitude will be there.

That’s what I’m choosing to go with too — that the way this game went down will spark us out of this recent funk and get things going again.

Gotta learn how to just stay in your game and keep doing the things that got you in the position to win instead of trying to overextend. We will get there

You remember how nervous we were about the inevitable collapse that was coming a month ago? Obviously the pressure isn’t the same, but the feeling is pretty similar. They don’t know how to win big yet, but you can’t teach that. It comes with experience.

Liken it to the football team in ‘08. They were a really good team, and they proved it all season, but they weren’t ready to win the SECCG against Florida yet. It takes some time to instill that belief. They aren’t going to walk onto the court with a championship mindset after a couple great games, but we clinch the SEC regular season this weekend, and it’s the next step in the right direction.

I still firmly believe we’re the best team in the league and a top 10 team in the country, but when the team KNOWS they’re going to win coming through the tunnel, it’s easier to do the little things that get you a win instead of forcing the issue. We’ve improved leaps and bounds physically this year and still have a good chance to make some noise in the tournament, but any success this season also changes the mindset for everyone moving forward.

As bad as Arkansas beat us tonight, doesn't change the fact that we beat them by 30 after pulling our starters with 8 minutes left. Pleaseeee let us get another shot at them in an SEC tournament game.

Disappointed that Oats didn't stand up for his players..during the game or afterward.

Pussy move in my opinion.

We also didn’t play well. Way more important to focus on that

Hard to play well when your opponent shots 43 freethrows.

We took the lead in 2nd half and immediately had 4 fouls called on the next 4 Arkansas possessions.

There's no way a team can get into a flow when they are receiving a foul call for breathing.

Oats should have lost his mind.. if he had..Petty wouldn't have had to!

At least JP stood up for his guys!!!!

Crazy that Bruner and Gary played with the most heart tonight out of anyone on the team and both are injured. They both played great, no one else on the team was even particularly good. Hopefully Oats can get the team focused after this loss and we come out fired up vs Miss St.

I bet we got killed in hard hat points tonight, and no doubt some of it was because every semi aggressive play we made they called a foul.

I told my wife with about 5 minutes to go in the game when it got even worse with the calls I would have just told my guys let's go, we're done and walked to the locker room. Then told the SEC if you ever put that crew on one of our games again we will forfeit so if you don't want some voids in your TV game slots then you better not give them one of our games.

I mean I am disappointed we lost sure. But we are 13-2 in SEC play and just lost to a ranked team on the road where the officiating was as bad as I have seen in a long time .... let that sink in ... hell if you had told me that in December you could have signed me up right then ... we will be ok

My only complaint was the game started at 8pm , I stayed up to watch and have to be up at 430am

Despite last night this is still a good team. One that will win the SEC and be a top 3 NCAA seed at worst. That being said, we are playing really well right now. And haven’t, outside of the Georgia game, for almost a month now. The ball isn’t moving on offense and our defense has slipped a little the last few games as well. The refs last night were bad. But some of you must have just started watching college basketball this year. Used to be always you went on the road, the home team was getting all the whistles and free throws. Last night was to the extreme but the home team making more free throws than the road team takes is college basketball. I was actually glad Oats didn’t dwell on it after the game. What are you gonna do if you get a tight whistle in March, if Shows is doing the Sweet 16 game. You have to adjust a little, especially Herb. He fouls out every game lately and some are just dumb fouls. In conclusion, I think we all need to relax. We have a great team, maybe not as great as that two week stretch but a team that I think we will all be proud of come March.

Herb has got to play under control. Never seen a Bama player who can take but also commit so many charges

I went to sleep with 8 minutes left. The writing was on the wall. Plus it was hard to watch with all the fouls

Last night was the night to wrap up the league title. It was to be Alabama's moment, and they immediately came out playing like garbage.

TV Teddy Show

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but aside from his theatrics I think Teddy V is a decent ref.

Joe West isn't a bad umpire outside of his theatrics. Problems only arise once they have decided a player has shown them up, at which point things tend to go downhill pretty rapidly and frick up the whole game.

I will agree that among the usual suspects for ref frickery around the SEC TV Teddy is probably the least frequent offender though. Especially this year with no crowd to perform for.
