Me too.

They have to play Ole Miss twice and will probably be an underdog @Florida. I don't see them finishing the season without losing again.

I don't see us losing two more games with our remaining schedule regardless, but anything is possible in SEC basketball.

I’m not assuming anything about us until our offense shows me they can fix their problems. We won’t get blown out in any game tho because of our defense.

I think it goes by Loss Column. If we both lose 3 we split but they have tiebreaker.
Haven't seen the official word but that seems inconceivable. They almost surely go by winning %. 15-3 is certainly better than 13-3.

I saw something out there late today which might be the way this team should play the rest of the way.

Missouri had the pace the way they wanted most of the game and we could not match up with them half court, but once Bama went with the pressing and trapping, and the tempo sped up, Missouri was out of their comfort zone and Bama got back in the game in a hurry. It opens up the floor.

When they play these teams with big guys, play them that way and make the big men a liability out there. Bama seemed to play much better at that pace also, because the other team could not get set on defense.

Sort of like the old Nolan Richardson Forty Minutes of Hell, this team plays a lot of people and can do it. Pressure the hell out of the ball and speed up the game even more.

Yeah as good as our defense is we should pressure more after seeing how well we did at it today. Our length could give teams major problems in a full court press.

They were killing us in the conventional half court game. Mississippi State gave us a bad time.

Make them play the way we want.

I trust Oats to work things out as best he can but believe our lack of a consistent PG will ultimately be our downfall.
What we will continue to see are defenses that run us off the 3pt line, forcing us to drive but take away most of our kick outs. They will force us to finish in the lane which we struggle with. Having Kira back would have solidified this team.
We really need Primo to step up but I don't think he is quite ready to give us what we need.
If you count Herb in the point guard group, our PGs had a total of 3 assists today. Not going to win consistently that way.
I love the direction of the program. Get in JD next year with the group we will have, and it will be something special. This year has already been a win for me. Everything we accomplish here on out is icing.

I don't think any game in SEC basketball is a given , for any team. Almost ever.
Petty needs to start hitting some more 3s , in fact everyone does. It will cure everything.
Heck, even as bad as they played this weekend and last weekend, we had chances at the end.
Should have been shooting 2 free throws for the lead this afternoon.
Lol. Probably wouldn't have made them.
We were a garbage level 12 of 21 from the FT line.

I think the SEC is way too inconsistent and Missouri for that matter for them to finish the season without another loss.

The next few games for Alabama look pretty good to be able to finish strong. The goal is to win the SEC, not to look good in a February Bracket. The hard work is done but much to be done to finish strong.

As SoG pointed out the other day, no tiebreaker for the SEC regular season. You share it if you have the same record.

Missouri will lose multiple games. They are pretty good but nothing special, especially on the offensive end.

Yep. It's becoming even more of a glaring weakness without Bruner out there. Driving to the basket is the only way we can play inside out, but there's no one on this roster defenses are scared of allowing near the basket.

Quinerly could be that threat but someone has to teach him how to shoot floaters.

If he got that down he wouldn't feel so much pressure driving to the hoop with a rim protector.

Alabama won an SEC football title one year by scheduling/playing and winning one more conference game, so.....

No one has referenced it, but Keon had a mismatch and was driving for the go-ahead when Oates called timeout.

I referenced it...

I agree, plus our defensive rebounding.
I'm afraid that Quinerly just lacks the skills and perception of a really fine point guard. They're hard to find!

I think the best way to go forward is to be extremely happy about the run we had, understand that our accomplishments to date are impressive and any ranking we have has been earned, but also realize that at this moment we are not playing like a Top 10 team and it's possible we never reach that level again. However, we are still playing like an NCAA Tournament team and borderline Top 25 team, which is something I think we all would have been happy with on December 31st. That great run over a 3 weeks period gave us a legitimate shot to win the SEC Title and get a nice seed in the NCAA Tournament. And then at that point, we'll just hope that we find our stoke and put together some solid games.

Comparing the current team to the heights of their unreal run is really not fair to them. We have 4 games here to figure things out, fix some things, get back in a groove and hopefully get our big man back.

If y’all think about it missed easy layups has now cost us 3 games.

Herb miss vs WKU
Shack miss vs OU
Herb miss vs Mizzou

I hope Oats really emphasizes finishing at the rim this offseason
