This might be me riding a high off of the Knicks, but this roster has potential rim protection and length/athleticism on the wing to field a top 20 defense around Biz.

We're going on a run this year.

Jaxon is going to be pretty electric around the rim.

Hope all the new guys have decent handles too. You can really put pressure on a D with multiple guys have the capability of breaking the D down and finding open space to work. Seems like Oats' teams have gotten better at ball security each season too. The skills camp he has in the summer pays huge dividend

But I really think Oats needs to focus on the team being more efficient in transition. Not just defensively either. Anyway agree with this? I didn't think Alabama was very efficient on either end.

Pretty sure we'd be a lock for the Elite 8/Final Four if this was the case. Oats understands how to field an elite offense every season and put up big number. Just seems too good to be true. I still have a lot of doubts about Brian Adams as a coach.

LJ Smith just reclassified for Ohio State. Hopefully we see Diaz do it too real soon.

Unless he means Diaz, who committed to us and is trying to reclassify.

for the freshmen i would say qayden has the best handles. he can get his own. bouie seems solid in a secondary role. havent seen much of cloer but if its a big guarding him then shouldnt be a problem, and jaxon will just jump over everyone.

on paper it has the makings to be better on both ends but it is one area where i expect some initial growing pains with lineups that are freshmen heavy. that said i think one of the underrated parts of adens game last season was how efficient he was at taking care of the ball. i do think that carries over with the added responsibility. he showed he can be a very good distrubutor when he needs to be. amari also showed flashes and i expect him to be more consistent as a sophomore.

no team is ever a lock for that but, yep

Tarris Bouie can jump out of the gym. Bama will have two of the most athletic players in college basketball next year as true freshman.

He's going to be pretty legit. Think he had some trouble with turnovers in HS but he has some serious hops.

The entire recruiting class is solid as hell. The above poster had something about Samuels.

Really wish we had some practice footage

Hate to be the bearer of terrible news, but Mikhail Torrance unexpectedly passed away this week. Hits close to home because we overlapped at Alabama and also played in the same men's league this spring (that he also helped officiate). Prayers for him and his family.

I truly hate to hear that. He seemed like a genuinely great guy.

That sucks to hear - Torrance was a bright spot in some lean years. Heart related I assume?

Indeed. Happened while playing earlier this week.
