Back to back seasons of getting blown out in the second half when the team was more than capable of competing.
Oats is a great coach but I want to know what he does that kills any energy we have coming out of the half. This didn't look like a team fighting for their season at all in the second half. It was horrible.

Yeah the refs were giving them every call, they weren't capitalizing on it, and we just weren't hitting shots. Odd way to go out.

Last three teams in the tournament that have knocked Alabama out have all been the exact same. Obviously great teams with a lot of size and versatility on offense, but three years in a row, Alabama seems to have the same recurring issues.

We went 0/4 in the portal, lost 2nd leading scorer for weed, and had a halftime lead over best team in country in S16. Hell of a job by Oats with what he had to work with (which was also his fault to be fair).

I’ve said it before, he relies on talent in games, ISO ball. Coaches make adjustments, and we really have no scheme to get buckets. Just load up the perimeter and play iso ball. Relying on talent only takes you so far when the other team has talent too.

Yep, we wasted a lot of money on "value" picks In the transfer portal going for quantity over quality and we paid for it. I also like Houston Mallette, but we cant keep getting 1 dimensional 2 and 3s.

The most annoying thing is that we didnt even need to shoot lights out in that second half. If we had only hit a few more 3s we would've been within reach at the end. We went ice cold. They were even gifting us missed free throws.

Wrightsell and Mallette were just frustrating all year. They both gave great effort but it got frustrating watch 2 career 40% 3Pt shooters miss open 3s all season long.
