I’ve been holding out hope for Golding and I really don’t know what to say, what the hell did I just watch?

I haven’t felt like this since the 55-44 auburn game it being a victory against auburn made me forget the 44 points

Also, the defense at least sacked up in the redzone in that game. Auburn kicked like 5 short FGs.

Even that game, the defense wasn’t this bad. They got turnovers and slowed AU enough in the 2nd half. Bama was by 19 before they got the garbage time TD and 2 pt conversion

Sagan’s postgame with Molly was bizarre.

Just nonchalant about the shite defense, even smiled at the beginning.

Several years ago he would’ve been fricking livid about this game

Just watched a defense that is poorly coached, in the wrong place regularly, and lacks fundamental tackling skills on the rare occasion when they are in position.

That said it all. Missed tackles, blown assignments, taking bad angles, and mass confusion.

To sum it up, very poorly coached.

Saban has mellowed no doubt, but I think he knows what he has in his players... a bunch you have to praise and coddle. If you get on their arse they will quit and go march/protest.

You can sum up that defense in the play that Battle got ejected on: the only thing you can’t do is let them get behind you. You start teaching that in middle school. But Golding’s defense apparently doesn’t know that.

Worst I have ever felt following a win. Never been more disgusted after seeing such a pathetic performance from a defense from so much talent.

Next to Cristobal ( who many at Auburn supposedly want) , Kiffin and Napier would be on my short list as well, assuming Dabo is out of play

We’ve won a national Championship when having to out score Ole Miss. Same with Auburn. Both were in years with defenses that we look back upon fondly. Sometimes the other guys have your number.

And unfortunately, even when we can keep them in front of us, we can’t tackle them.
