I hoped the 2014 Auburn game would always hold that mantle. That’s no longer the case.

Believe me, I hated that as much as anyone.

But what an absurd offensive performance. And it was actually pretty balanced and physical.

Has Alabama football ever had a 400 yard passer and a 200 yard rusher in the same game? I feel like there’s no way that’s happened before.

I can’t imagine it has.

I also believe the 723 yards of offense is the first 700 yard game since 1973 versus Virginia Tech.

It’s a good thing too, because we needed that offensive performance to get the win

Where are all you frickin dorks saying Jim Maclwain and Brian Daboll are better coordinators than Lane Kiffin at? He's a savant an always has been. Big dicked the Bama defense all game long.

Been team Lane Kiffin since the second his name popped up as being in the building before the Sugar Bowl.

He's a fvckin savant.

I can't thank of one. What the offense has been able to accomplish - even against the competition - is nothing to diminish.

Conversely, the defense needs to be addressed. It's absolute hot garbage.

He would be entertaining as well

Give him a good DC, with Bama’s resources he would be walking hell

What exactly are you talking about?

2014? Shootout with Auburn then lost in playoffs
2015? Lost to Ole Miss then won the natty
2016? Shootout with Ole Miss then lost the natty?

Literally no point in your post is true about the Saban era

This is a complete lack of coaching on an SEC level, even a high school level. The players are among the best in the country!

Supposedly LSU players were fighting/ arguing with each other and players called Pelini clueless and had to be separated from coaches after the game .... guess it could be a little worse

Ole miss recruiting class is outside the top 50 lol. They have an offense but for how long?

Pretty sure our entire defensive depth chart are all 4 and 5 stars and they suck balls so there’s that.

In 2015 Bama lost to Ole Miss but won the NC. But how about you take a look at that defense performance compared to this?

This performance was absolutely pathetic in every way.

Is it possible that Saban defense is too complicated even for his coordinator??

I’m rooting like hell against South Carolina the rest of the way. Muschamp will fix this

Golding sucks , no question . But it baffles me that Saban sees this Shite everyday and has not addressed it. I mean defensive calls can be blamed on Golding, but missed tackles , not setting the edge on D , blown coverages , no adjustments , effed up blitzes, etc ..... that’s on the whole defensive staff and Saban

Yep. It's clear the defense is poorly coached and has extensively taken on the DC's incompetence and lethargy as it's identity. Unless there's a significant defensive turnaround, which I doubt Golding can accomplish, Idk if we can always score enough points to win the SEC or CFP. On the other hand, Idk if Golding can be replaced during the season, without it causing even more havoc. This catch 22 we're now in is what I feared would happen if Saban didn't replace him right after NSD in Feb. I didn't have enough faith in Golding back then to risk ending up here. And that's why I favored pulling the trigger back then.

I’ve tried to be restrained in my comments, but tonight was the poorest performance I have ever witnessed by an Alabama defense. There is a complete lack of fundamentals and an attitude that is hard for me to grasp. Poor tacking, not lining up, not setting the edge, etc. The defense has taken on the personality of its coordinator; inept and apathetic. 8-2 will be about the best that happens this year unless a change is made. Can some of you in the know explain what the hell is going on with the defense and why Coach won’t make a change?

We ain’t covered a back or TightEnd in 3 frickING YEARS!!!

Goldings delayed blitz on 3rd down has become the defenses version of Darby up the middle.

No one will ever know why Saban doesn’t fire him. All we can do is guess and best guess is he was hoping he would pan out to keep continuity.
